Paris Las Vegas Opens Newest Cocktail Lounge Le Central Bar W/Exotic Cocktails

Central
The newest addition to Paris Las Vegas’ bar and lounge scene, the newly re-opened Le Central Bar, is a premiere cocktail destination with inventive cocktails and rich details.

Mixologist Eddie Perales has created a unique cocktail menu that offers a variety of signature cocktails with exotic flavors like mulberry, smoke and infused bourbon. The menu features three distinct sections, signature cocktails, sangria and brunch cocktails, in addition to a variety of beers, wines and spirits offered by the glass and bottle. Perales, one of Las Vegas’ original flair bartenders, has been a fixture in the Las Vegas mixology world for over a decade. Perales is a member of a Guinness World Record holding team for cocktail speed, as well as a member of the team that won the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup in 2007.

                                                                                 Vodka Berry Lemonade Porthole
Signature cocktails include modern takes on classic cocktails with a French twist. The French Martini is composed of Ciroc Pineapple vodka, mulberry, orgeat, egg whites and fresh lemon sour and garnished with a dehydrated pineapple. The Cinna-Raisin Sidecar features Hennessy V.S. cognac, Osborne Pedro Ximenez 1827 sherry, cinnamon-raisin honey syrup and fresh lemon sour. If guests would rather buy a round for the table, the Vodka Lemonade Berry Porthole serves four and is composed of Ketel One Citroen vodka, Cointreau, blackberries, strawberries, mint and fresh lemonade. More traditional sangria decanters are also available.  Lastly, the Smoking Manhattan, one of Le Central’s most innovative cocktails, adds real smoke to a traditional Manhattan, making the classic cocktail rich and flavorful.

Cinna-Raisin Sidecar
If you’re looking for a pre-brunch cocktail, or if you’re having cocktails for brunch, Le Central is the place to go. Made with Perrier-Jouet, the Chilled PJ Mimosa takes the classic mimosa and turns it inside out with frozen orange “ice” cubes floating throughout the bubbles. The Bourbon Bloody Mary takes this classic hangover cure one step further. With Le Central’s signature Bourbon Infuser, Woodford Reserve Bourbon is infused with cloves, cinnamon, and citrus right in front of guests. The infused bourbon is then combined with fresh basil and Mary mix for the ultimate brunch cocktail. For those looking for a jolt before their morning, Le Central also serves Stumptown Coffee in full French Presses.

Continuing the renaissance of Caesars Entertainment’s beverage program, Le Central’s plush blue velvet décor is reminiscent of Versailles. Designed by Moser & Dez Motif Studios, vibrant chandeliers attached to a grand thirty foot fleur de lis populate the space, reflecting the gold ceiling panels and emphasizing the clean white leather details. The thirty nine seat circle bar is home to eight TVs and ten video poker machines. The lounge area, which seats ninety eight people with a variety of Chaise lounges and luxurious leather chairs, will leave guests wondering whether they are in Las Vegas or France.

Le Central is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Meet The Artist! Photos Of Glenwood Power Plant

April 2 at 5:00pm to Apr 29 at 9:00pm

Meet the Artist 5pm-8pm this Thursday. An ongoing project that began in 2009, inspired by exploring abandoned spaces. Enjoy this series of photos taken in the Glenwood Power Plant in New York just north of Manhattan. Glenwood was built in 1906- abandoned in 1963; the plant - a sprawling 175,000 sq. ft of brick and rusted steel. Sunlight passes through rows of arched windows bringing this decaying giant back to life. Exploration is an integral part of Jay's creative process and has led him to find beauty in the unconventional.

Enjoy Unusual & Beautiful Art At Unhinged With Artist Marlene Reid

Please join Unhinged for The Marquee's featured artist for April. We are honored to have Marlene Reid as our feature artist for this event. Don't miss "Once Upon a Time".

Once Upon A time

I love the feel of a "real" book in my hands. Simply turning the pages invokes delight at the anticipated hours of adventure to be found between those crisp pages. Four little words “Once Upon A Time”—so full of promise!

Regretfully we live in a disposable world and paper bound books seem destined to become a thing of the past. The only thing worse than an unloved book gathering dust on a shelf is a discarded book in a landfill. Respect for the physical book itself is losing ground to the lure of technology.

And so, I see my work as a way of transforming these soon to be relics into wonderful pieces of art design to remind the viewer that “Once Upon a Time” a young girl grasped a leather bound book and between its pages found adventure, hope and courage. Designs featuring symbols, words or patterns are meant to inspire and encourage and ultimately to make you look at a book and even art in a new light."

Going Strong For 67 Years! The Four Freshman Bring Show To The Suncoast

Carrying on a 67 year legacy, the Four Freshmen will perform their pop and jazz harmonies at the Suncoast Showroom April 4 and 5.

The Four Freshmen group tradition began in 1948, established by four students at Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind. Hal Kratzsch, brothers Ross and Don Barbour, and their cousin Bob Flanigan created a brand new vocal sound. Working without written music and choosing notes by ear, they spread their jazz voicing over a wider range than other groups, while imitating the phrasing and aggressive feel of a big band brass section.

When band leader, Stan Kenton heard the group at the Esquire Lounge in Dayton, Ohio, he immediately recognized their potential. At his urging, Capitol Records signed the Four Freshmen in 1950, initiating a string of hits with “It’s A Blue World.” The sound track of the movie “Lucy Gallant” introduced the hits “How Can I Tell Her” and “Day By Day.” The group has continued to evolve with new members over the years.

To date, the Freshmen Four have produced more than 70 singles and albums, won numerous DownBeat and JazzTimes readers’ polls, and have been honored with the Satchmo Award for unique and enduring contribution to the living history of jazz.

Bob Flanigan retired from performing in 1992, but he continues as the group’s mentor and personal manager. Throughout the group’s tenure, there have been 22 different line-ups. The current group consists of Brian Eichenberger, Curtis Calderon, Stein Malvey and Bob Ferreira.

Showtime each evening is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95, plus tax and fees, and can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming box office by calling 702-284-7777, or by visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
