Vegs Jazz Trio Performs Free Concert On Front Steps Of The Mob Museum, Saturday
April 4
In
celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, The Mob Museum welcomes the Las Vegas
Jazz Trio to its front steps for a very special performance. The Las Vegas Jazz
Trio performs unique interpretations of classic jazz, swing, bossa and
contemporary songs and consists of
Martin Motnik from Germany on bass, Moises Sol from Mexico City on piano
and T. G. LaFredo from Buffalo, N.Y., on drums.
Kai Brant of Long Beach, Calif., performs on vocals.
Vocalist
Kai Brant performed extensively throughout London and Southern California
before pursuing her love of jazz. She released her debut avant-garde record in
2010, followed in 2012 by The Way You Look Tonight, a compilation of jazz
standards.
Pianist
Moises Sol studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City and has
performed with The Buck Ram’s Platters, Jon Secada and Niccola de Bari. He has
also conducted recording sessions and concert tours for the Mexican icon and
Grammy nominee Juan Gabriel.
Bassist
Martin Motnik, from Ludwigshafen, Germany, has performed guitar and bass for 20
years and has performed all over the world. As a solo artist, Motnik has
attained endorsements from Ritter Instruments, Gallien-Krueger amplification,
Elixir Strings and Line 6 effects.
Drummer
T.G. LaFredo attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied drum
set as well as percussion of Latin/’Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, West African and
Middle Eastern traditions. He has recorded and performed in numerous styles
including jazz, rock, fusion, pop, country and Irish.
