An International SOS! You Can Help Liberia!

The World Kindness Liberia lives to respond to diverse humanitarian situations where kindness is needed for desired outcome for the betterment of humanity in Liberia.

Mission
The Mission of the World Kindness Liberia is to inspire people to create a kinder Liberia

Vision
1. To create opportunities for Liberians to build a more compassionate Liberia
2. To be an influence of  kindness in Liberia

AN SOS CALL!

The World Kindness Liberia wishes to extend an SOS call to every individual, organizations and businesses and urges all to see the Ebola epidemic in Liberia which has taken away more than 2500 lives not as a challenge, but as a fair opportunity to everyone to rapidly respond and share kindness to its fullest by helping to save precious lives and restore lost hope.

The evil nature of this disease continues to diversify as a tree with several branches. Among many negative impacts of the Ebola virus is the dozens of children becoming orphans, miserable economic circumstances for many families and the rapid promotion of grudge and hatred among family members, neighbors, and community dwellers. Persons or families victimized by the Ebola virus are often ostracized and subjected to total neglect and loneliness. It is quite unfortunate that the situation depicts that people would behave in such a way to prevent themselves from getting infected. Clothes and other household materials of families of Ebola victims are often burned by health workers to prevent the viral spread without being replenished. To help these suffering people, we will appreciate your compassionate response with any of the below requested items to empower us to reach out to at least 1000 families.

Requested Items:

1. Used Vehicle (for project use)
2. Used Clothes of all types and sizes
3. Used Beddings
4. Used Shoes
5. Funds
6. Toys
7. Foods, etc.

Coming To Vegas On Weds.! NASCAR Fanfest

NASCAR fans will have several opportunities to see their favorite Sprint Cup Series drivers when NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas kicks off Wednesday with the popular fanfest, hosted by Las Vegas Motor Speedway, at the Fremont Street Experience.

Wednesday’s free fanfest will feature all 16 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, including 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick. Beginning at 2 p.m., the drivers will walk a red carpet through the crowd en route to the Third Street Stage.

The highlight of fanfest will be a “Win, Lose or Draw”-style game show involving all 16 Chase drivers. They will be joined onstage by fans chosen through local media outlets and LVMS social media. The show will be hosted by two-time Daytona 500 winner and Dancing With The Stars contestant Michael Waltrip and Miss Sprint Cup Julianna White.

“Each year, the fanfest has been one of the highlights of Champion’s Week,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “It not only gives the fans a chance to get close to the top drivers in NASCAR, but it also allows the fans to see them in a much more relaxed environment than they would during a NASCAR race. This event has grown into one of the best fan events in NASCAR and we’re very appreciative of our friends at Boyd Gaming, Sprint and Coca-Cola who make it possible for us to put on this show each year.”

In addition to the fanfest, the 16 drivers who qualified for the Chase also will participate in the traditional NASCAR Victory Lap on Las Vegas Boulevard beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday. The drivers also will take part in NASCAR’s “After The Lap” at 5 p.m. Thursday at The Pearl Concert Theater at The Palms Casino Resort. The week will culminate with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony on Friday at Wynn Las Vegas.

New Images Released By Artist Jeff Mitchum For NFR!

Autumn Repast

Driving The Herd

Just in time for the 2014 National Finals Rodeo, fine art photographer, Greg Essayan, is welcomed at Jeff Mitchum Galleries and releases six images for a wild west inspired collection at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino gallery. A Las Vegas local, Essayan travels the world capturing images of awe-inspiring power, drama and breathtaking beauty. Best known for his landscape photography and most notably for his stunning images made at night including the stars and Milky Way, Essayan brings a new perspective and vision to Jeff Mitchum Galleries.

“I am so thrilled to welcome Greg to my galleries. Not only is he true to the traditions of classic photography, but he brings a unique skill set for capturing the night sky and creating truly special celestial shots unlike any other photographer I know today,” said Jeff Mitchum.

Among the new images available to view at the MGM Grand gallery is “Driving the Herd,” an image shot during the Pace Ranch cattle drive; a yearly event that has been ongoing since the turn of the 19th century. Following Capitol Reef’s designation as a National Park in 1971, Guy Pace, the ranch’s then patriarch, made an agreement with the National Park Service preserving his family's nearly century-long legacy of moving their herd through the land twice each year from their summer to winter range and back again. Unfortunately, the agreement will someday come to an end upon the deaths of Guy Pace’s offspring, and along with it part of ranching history.

"I am very excited and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Mitchum Galleries family. I have enormous admiration and respect for Jeff both as an artist and as a human being. As fellow protégés of the legendary Ansel Adams, Jeff and I share similar values in our approach to the medium. I am very impressed with the skilled and passionate team Jeff has attracted and their commitment to helping bring our images to collectors world wide,” said Essayan.

A Yale graduate, Essayan was fortunate to have been mentored by some of the greatest artists and photographers of the 20th century including Ansel Adams, Walker Evans, William Bailey and Irving Penning. His iconic shot, “Anne, 1976,” was acquired by the Yale University Art Gallery for its permanent collection in 1977, which made Essayan the youngest artist to have work in the Gallery’s permanent collection at the time. Leaving the life of an artist behind, Essayan became a very successful lawyer and businessman, only to return to his true passion and join Jeff Mitchum Galleries decades later. In the coming months, the galleries will be presenting additional images from Essayan’s magnificent and extensive portfolio, adding a further dimension to the fine art landscape photography available for acquisition.

Essayan is the third artist to be represented at Jeff Mitchum Galleries. The work of landscape photographer, Aubra Franklin, and glass sculptor, Markian Olynyk, can also be enjoyed at both the Bellagio and MGM Grand galleries.

More information about Greg Essayan, his work, and new collection can be found at GregEssayan.com or by speaking to an art consultant at Jeff Mitchum Galleries. Please visit JeffMitchum.com or call 1-800-763-3074.

Titanic The Exhibition Visited By Titanic Film Actress

Actress Rochelle Rose was sighted at Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition inside Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 29 with her husband and son. Rose, best known for her role as Countess of Rothes in the feature film "Titanic," was very friendly to the on-site staff as she explored the gallery and learned about the ill-fated “Ship of Dreams.” She expressed that they enjoyed the Exhibition and particularly took a liking to the largest artifact recovered from the wreckage sight, a 15-ton section called “The Big Piece.” Rose and her family posed for a picture on the Grand Staircase before heading to BODIES…The Exhibition where they explored more than 200 human bodies and specimens.
