Rock
Description: Franky Perez, a natural talent who was already a seasoned veteran of the Vegas music scene by the age of 16, now performs a mix of rock classics and originals. Through the years he has lent his unique voice to some of the biggest names in rock music from fronting Scars on Broadway with Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan both of the band System of a Down to lending vocals to Camp Freddy and even Slash’s band. Perez’s music can be heard on the FX television series “Sons of Anarchy” – a relationship that continued until the series finale’s final song. Perez also performs live with the Sons Of Anarchy band The Forest Rangers featuring Katey Sagal, in 2012, Perez was bestowed the honor of being the vocalist for The Doors at the Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles and in 2013, he was voted Best Free Show from Vegas Seven magazine’s “Best of the City.”

Perez’s latest studio album entitled ADDICT (2014) features the artist’s most honest music he's ever written...his own very personal journey of love, loss and vices – three things he knows only too well.
In Late 2014 Perez was chosen to join Finnish rock band Apocalyptica. Having collaborated with artists like Gavin Rossdale (BUSH), Dave Lombardo (SLAYER) and Ville Valo (HIM) on past studio albums, Apocalyptica decided to take on a new musical challenge: For the upcoming LP, the band worked with Perez as the exclusive singer on the vocal tracks — this time not only during production, but for the whole cycle, including the upcoming 2015 tour. The new Apocalyptica album Shadowmaker (April 2015) was produced by GRAMMY award winning producer Nick Ruskulenicz and mixed by Greg Fidelman. The band, with Perez on lead vocals, is currently on a world tour in support of the new release.

In 2015 Perez’s career continues to go from strength to strength, his only problem now is not having enough hours in the day. Perez recently became a BMG writer/artist, is a staple on the LA and Las Vegas live circuit, the Ducati Allstars continue to ride including a recent trip to Italy for performances at Ducati Bike Week, Pusher Jones is working on material for a full length album and an animated series on Adult Swim, Sons of Anarchy will release a documentary featuring Perez’s voice and original music, The Forest Rangers continue to play shows including a performance at 2015’s Stagecoach, and Perez continues as a regular guest with Camp Freddy off shoots The Royal Machines and Matt Sorum’s Kings Of Chaos.

Awesome! Live "Ribbon Of Life" At The Tropicana Start Of Rockin’ the Ribbon

Supporters of Golden Rainbow came together at The New Tropicana Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 10 to kick off this year’s “Ribbon of Life” by forming a Living Ribbon. Approximately 75 people donned various shades of red to create the ribbon on the corner of Tropicana Ave and Las Vegas Blvd to show solidarity with those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The event kicked off this year’s “Ribbon of Life,” which will take place Saturday, June 28 in the Tropicana Theater.

“We are so grateful to everyone who came out to show support today,” said Gary Costa, executive director of Golden Rainbow. “Having everyone come together to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS is what the ‘Ribbon of Life’ show is all about and today was the perfect way to kick it off.”

This year’s event, Rockin’ the Ribbon, will benefit men, women, and children living in Clark County whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS. The rock and roll themed show will feature stars from Las Vegas’ favorite shows including “ShowStoppers,” “Jubilee,” “Jersey Boys,” “Million Dollar Quartet,” “MJ Live,” “Legends in Concert,” “Pin Up,” “Vegas! The Show,” and more and will be hosted by Edie (“Zumanity”) and Sean McAllister (“MORE” and “MORE Access”). The production will be immediately followed by an after party in the Havana Room, where attendees can mix and mingle with performers and partake in a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres.

“Ribbon of Life” was created 29 years ago by members of the Las Vegas entertainment industry who saw the need for a support system when one of their colleagues was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. To raise awareness and money in order to help fight the disease, entertainers organized a show. The show, then called "Golden Rainbow," led to the creation of the nonprofit organization. The annual event is one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada and is Golden Rainbow's main source of revenue.

Tickets are now on sale and sponsorship packages are available. For more information, visit www.goldenrainbow.org.
