just three miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip, the Springs Preserve is an
award-winning 180-acre family destination dedicated to exploring green-living,
desert life, and Las Vegas’ vibrant history through botanical gardens,
interactive science and nature exhibits, animal shows, and trails offering
hiking, biking and train rides. Indoor experiences include exhibition galleries
dedicated to showcasing art and traveling exhibitions of local and national
significance, on-site technologically advanced learning centers, the Divine
Cafe and the Nevada State Museum.

Divine Cafe do the cooking for Dad this Father's Day! Come spend the day at the
beautiful Springs Preserve and enjoy live music, a golf chipping contest for
prizes and fun for the whole family. This outdoor BBQ extravaganza features
smokey sweet ribs, cajun sausage links, BBQ chicken, steak, fusion tacos, hot
dogs, jambalaya, picnic style sides and salads, a gelato station and more!
Dad's special menu also includes soft drinks, iced tea, lemonade and a full bar
with beer on draft for adults. Sunday June 21, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brunch is $20
for adults, $10 for children ages 5-10 (plus tax) and free for kids 4 and

We’re
dino-crazy this summer! Join us for a showing of Disney’s animated film
“Dinosaur” along with prehistoric, kids-only museum fun: dinosaur crafts and
games, pizza and snacks, and an awesome nighttime tour of our Dino Summer
exhibit. Saturday, June 27, 5 - 9 p.m. Ages 5 - 12 only. $20 members, $25

Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve
Join
us Thursdays for "local farm fresh goodness" at the outdoor Green
Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve. Featuring a cornucopia of local
and regional produce, plants, herbs, homemade baked goods, honey, and more. Fun
at the market includes gardening workshops, cooking demonstrations and kids'
activities. Open Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. outside in the Desert Living
Center Courtyard. Access to the market is free. Purchases are cash only. For

the Trails - Train and Bike Rides

THE TRAIN: $3 members, $5 non-members. Take a narrated ride on our life-size
locomotive around the historic 2.2 mile Exploration Trail. DAILY. Check onsite
for times. BIKE THE TRAILS: $6 members, $8 non-members for 1-hour bike rental,

Summer
Adventure
into the prehistoric world at the Springs Preserve! This exciting indoor
exhibit appears exclusively at the Springs Preserve this summer inside the
Origen Museum. Witness an animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops,
interact with state-of-the-art video game technology, take a journey in a
safari jeep on a Jurassic Park-style narrated tour through a virtual dinosaur
world, dig up life-sized dinosaur bones, and more - all under one roof! Dino
Summer is a collaboration of exhibits from Eureka Exhibits (Be the Dinosaur)
and Kokoro Exhibits (Dinosaur Discovery). Exhibit on display daily June 21 -
September 20, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The exhibt is free for Springs Preserve members

Preserve Photo Contest Exhibition

how professional, amateur and youth photographers have captured
"Celebrations and Traditions." That's the theme of our sixth photo
contest, which has produced some of the most enduring images to grace our

Jude "Celebration of Life" Collection
The
Springs Preserve welcomes an exhibit of six three-dimensional, five-foot
sculptures decorated by local artists honoring life and raising awareness for
children battling cancer and other life threatening diseases. This exhibit is
on display daily outside the Gift Shop and Nature Exchange through August 31.
Metamorphosis
of Scrap
From
the bighorn sheep sculptures seen along valley highways to more abstract
pieces, Ramon Sanchez of P & S Metals turns scrap metal and steel into art.
See his transformational work throughout our Botanical Gardens! This exhibit on display daily in the
Botanical Gardens is free for Springs Preserve members or with general
admission.
Butterfly
Gardens Art
Let
these 12 delightful, metal, swallowtail butterflies artfully guide you through
our Botanical Gardens! Local sculptor Miguel Rodriquez fabricated these flights
of fancy, which then were painted by local artists. This exhibit on display
daily in the Botanical Garden is free for Springs Preserve members or with
general admission.
Eat
or Be Eaten: Predators and Prey!
This
summer, join Springs Preserve zoologists and staff inside the cool confines of
the Origen Museum for our new, live animal show—Eat or Be Eaten: Predators and
Prey! The show focuses on the role of
predators and prey in the desert, the circle of life and the relationship
between predators and their prey. A rotating cast of animals will include
(additional animals may be added): bugs, lizards, snakes and small mammals.
Some animals from the Preserve’s Living Collection will be featured, as well as
audio and video clips of animals in the wild. Audience members will be invited
to participate in trivia games to learn more about our unique Mojave wildlife
as well as earn small prizes and give-aways. The 30-minute show will take place
inside the Big Springs Theater daily June 8 - August 23 at 11 am and 1 pm, with
extra weekend showings August 29 - 30. The show is free for Springs Preserve
members or with general admission.

Rise
of the Animals: From the Seas to the Skies (67 min.) follows acclaimed
naturalist David Attenborough, as he visits China to tell the fascinating,

General
Admission (GA) for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students,
seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4 and under
are free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State Museum,
open Thursday through Monday. Admission for nonresidents adults is $18.95,
$17.05 seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4
and under are free. Special event and class admission prices vary and can be
found at springspreserve.org.
Hours
of Operation - Fall/Winter: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Spring/Summer: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.,
seven days a week (Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day); hours vary for
classes and special events. Gardens and trails close at 4 p.m. or dusk
(whichever comes first).
