Menopause The Musical® Will Have A New Home!

Menopause the Musical® has delighted Las Vegas audiences for nine years. Now with 3,625 performances under its belt, the show from award-winning GFour Productions that launched a women’s movement will debut in the heart of the city inside The Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas with preview performances starting February 3 and a grand opening February 20. New show times, along with an expanded stage, upgraded sound and lighting, as well as a fresh set and costumes, highlight the new production’s intimate setting.

“We are thrilled to bring the longest running scripted show in Las Vegas to Harrah’s,” said producers Alan and Kathi Glist.  “The entire cast and crew can’t wait to entertain visitors and locals at our new home in the center of the entertainment capital that is the Las Vegas Strip.”

Menopause The Musical®, “The Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change”® empowers audiences of all ages with its parodies of classic songs of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s in a show filled with memorable characters, optimism and laughter.  Hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain – no subject is off limits for the show’s four stars—the Iowa Housewife, the Professional Women, the Soap Star and Earth Mother, who meet in a department store while shopping for a black lace bra.  The 90-minute production inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine celebrates sisterhood as the cast and audience bond, rejoicing that menopause is no longer “The Silent Passage”. Since 2001 the show has touched nearly 11 million women worldwide and has partnered with Susan G. Komen® to raise funds to fight breast cancer.

The Las Vegas cast of Menopause The Musical® includes Laura Lee O’Connell as the Iowa Housewife, Paige O’Hara as the Soap Star, Vita Corimbi as the Earth Mother and Lisa Mack as the Professional Woman.

Menopause The Musical® will have performances Monday at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Sunday at 6:30 p.m., as well as an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.  Tickets are priced at $44.99 for orchestra seats, $54.99 for premium seating and $70 for VIP seating. A $35 VVIP upgrade is available on all price levels and includes a signed poster, meet and greet and photo with the cast and a $10 merchandise voucher. Locals can reserve the mid-level ticket for $34.95 with the code MMLOCAL. Additional fees may apply. Rejoice! The Juice Standard Has a New Location!

Juice lovers in Green Valley who have been making the drive across town for The Juice Standard’s exceptional juices will now have their very own outpost of the popular cold-pressed juicery with the opening of a second location at 2530 St. Rose Parkway between Paseo Verde Drive and Coronado Center Drive this spring.

Co-owners Marcella Melnichuck and Jamie Stephenson launched The Juice Standard in March of last year at 4555 S. Fort Apache, and their juice has quickly generated a loyal following of juicers in the Summerlin area and beyond. Even Robin Leach touted on Twitter during one of The Juice Standard’s cleanses, “Didn’t even miss my normal champagne or caviar!”

“The hard part about having so many Green Valley residents enjoy our juices has been not being able to offer them a more convenient place to stock up,” says Melnichuk, COO of The Juice Standard. “We know they are counting down the days to our opening, and so are we.”

“Juicing is about a lifestyle,” says Stephenson, CEO of The Juice Standard. “Being closer to our Green Valley clients means we can make a healthy lifestyle easier for them. We also couldn’t be more excited about introducing our juices to a new neighborhood.”

The new 1,750-square-foot location will offer The Juice Standard’s signature cold-pressed, organic juices including specialty blends like Bee WHealthy, a juice loaded with cucumber, celery, romaine, kale, apple, dandelion, parsley, lemon, ginger and turmeric; Bee Grateful, a sweet combination of carrot, pineapple, ginger and lemon; and Bee Excellent, the popular non-dairy “nutmilk” containing filtered water, coconut water, raw cashew, Spirulina, agave and vanilla bean.

The Juice Standard applies up to 3,000 pounds of pressure to fruits and vegetables that have been farmed responsibly, as well as locally, whenever possible. Every blend is raw, completely organic and bottled without high-pressure processing, a technique that some producers use to extend the shelf life of their product for up to six weeks, deactivating the enzymes the body needs to benefit from the product. The Juice Standard’s special pressing process preserves as many enzymes as possible, allowing for a more vital juice for the consumer.

The Juice Standard’s new location will share the same hours as the original: Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

About The Juice Standard

The Juice Standard is located at 4555 S. Fort Apache Road and is opened Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. With a variety of cold-pressed juices in 16-ounce glass Singletons, as well as a juice cleanse, super-food smoothies, espresso and acai bowls, The Juice Standard uses only organic and locally sourced produce. Mission I'm-Possible 10K Run Coming Up!

Ready, set, go! The Juice Standard, located at 4555 S. Ft. Apache Rd., has partnered with the non-profit foundation, Mission I’m-Possible, to host a 10K run on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Runners and juicers, alike, are welcome to join the run taking place from noon to 4 p.m. at The Juice Standard, free of charge.

To commemorate the run, The Juice Standard will unveil its new juice, Bee I’m-Possible. The new “nutmilk” is a nutritious twist on lemon meringue, combining raw cashews, vanilla, lemon, lavender, raw local honey and alkaline water.

Created by Sammy Jo Alonso, founder of the sport clothing line Fruition Las Vegas, Mission I’m-Possible aims to break the chains of limitations through spontaneous long distance runs to represent the idea of new possibilities in life. Although its messages are spread through running, the foundation’s goal is to become the advocate for change throughout culture and to be a beacon of hope for those who are broken or lost.

Four Famous Renowned Photographs Now On Display Here In Vegas!

Robert Rotella's mission upon launching Rotella Gallery was to provide a place where each artist's unique perspectives of the world would reflect the respect and integrity each has for their craft.  Now with locations in New York City and Las Vegas, Rotella has developed a mighty team of resident photographers, each echoing the mission Rotella Gallery seeks to fulfill.

Bringing an exceptional experience to guests through the gallery's body of photographic work, Rotella Gallery at The Forum Shops and Rotella Gallery in SoHo are the premier destinations in Las Vegas and New York City to explore unseen and unequaled collectable fine art.  Join us as we get to know the four resident photographers at Rotella Gallery.  After one glance, you'll see why each has received worldwide acclaim - and why you should continue to familiarize yourself with their breathtaking works of visual opulence.

ROBERT ROTELLA
"The Globe"

The Globe
With a reverence and awe for the natural world, Rotella's work has taken him to destinations in all corners of the earth.  He acquired his interest in photography from his father who often took pictures of their family; but now with a family of his own, Rotella has shifted focus to specialize in macro flower photography and landscape images closer to home.
In "The Globe" Rotella gorgeously captures Bleeding Heart Flowers through a drop of water in the morning.  Moments like this last a very short time and occur almost without warning.  While the background is out of focus, the entire image can be seen clearly through the falling drop of water.  A subtle reminder of how beautiful yet delicate this world of ours can be.

ART WOLFE
"Human Canvas: Clay Study 1"
Human Canvas: Clay Study 1

Throughout his 40 years in the field of fine art photography, Wolfe has had the pleasure of working on every continent in hundreds of locations.  He is known for his masterful visual recording of the world's fast-disappearing wildlife and native cultures. A recent recipient of the North American Nature Photography Association's Lifetime Achievement Award, Wolfe's work is recognized by industry leaders for its striking balance of color, composition and perspective.
His piece "Human Canvas: Clay Study 1" is part of a new dramatic series celebrating the human form.  These intensely artistic works are part of an evolution of his four decades in photography.  Through the use of lines, patterns and textures, he commands us to view the human body in an entirely new way as real humans - painted, clayed or abstracted - literally become the canvas for these inspired works of art.

DAVID YARROW
"Big"

Big
Yarrow is the most recent addition to the Rotella Gallery family.  At just 20 years old, he was named Young Scottish Photographer of the Year, catapulting him to cover major world sporting events early on in his career. Now seeking out some of the planet's most remote and inhospitable territories, Yarrow's travels with photography have given him genuine insights into key geopolitical and environmental issues, prompting his long-term commitment to Tusk Trust - a leading African conservation charity.
Elephants are big animals, but Yarrow felt their enormity is often poorly conveyed by a camera.  In this image aptly titled "Big", Yarrow risked thousands of dollars in gear to obtain the perfect, pivotal split second shot.  A self-described heart-pounding experience, he had to rush out of the scene once he knew the shot was secured.

MICHAEL LEVIN
"Sunshower"

Sunshower
Wondrous mystery surround every photograph taken by Levin.  His approach to photography is driven by passion, precision and a deep sense of self.  Based in Vancouver, Canada, Levin has gained international attention for his sharply-observed photographs and long exposure techniques.  He's received numerous high-profile awards including Photographer of the Year from the International Photography Awards in New York City and Fine Art Photographer of the Year from the Prix de la Photographie in Paris.
Levin's "Sunshower" is a ravishing work.  Deceiving in its simplicity, the image represents a place of serenity and a peace with the unknown.  He brings a notion of totemic surrealism to the viewer; an almost overwhelming sense of tranquility that is nearly impossible to break even hours after walking away.

A RESOLUTION UNFOLDS
"In 2015, I hope to be on a continuous path of elevating my game and authenticity.
I want to pursue betterness, I want to find magic and I want to make people feel something."
- Michael Levin
