Everyone from the evening news to the family physician is abuzz about the importance of healthful ingredients in slowing the body’s aging process and fostering its regenerative potential. Inspired by this movement and propelled by his passion for delectable culinary creations, Alizé’s Chef de Cuisine Mark Purdy has crafted a selection of dishes proving fine dining can be healthful while still delighting the palate:

Chilled Vichyssoise and Tomato Soup – This starter is garnished with crispy potatoes and minced chives. Tomatoes are rich in the anti-oxidant lycopene, which can help protect cells and other bodily structures from harmful, oxygen-free radicals.

Roasted Mushroom Toban-Yaki – As a second course, this miso-mushroom broth is laden with gluten-free rice noodles and accented with sesame oil. The Range 702 Offers Teachers Special Classes For Firearms

The Range 702’s training sector is introducing a firearms familiarization course especially designed for teachers and other education-certified employees which will be offered at no charge in order to empower teachers with the proper knowledge and handling of firearms.  

In order to contribute to the prevention of school violence and in light of the unfortunate climb in statistics of shootings on school campuses, The Range 702 understands there are concerns and questions about firearms in today’s society and will provide a professional learning atmosphere for class members to be trained on handgun safety and the proper handling of firearms. The 2-hour class is designed for those new to firearms and will cover everything participants need to know or have wanted to ask about firearms. The Firearm Familiarization class will be held every Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m. 

Additionally, starting June 1, for all NV residents and Clark County School District employees interested in obtaining a concealed carry permit, The Range 702 will offer complimentary CCW permit courses every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If obtained under strictly-enforced Nevada law** the permit allows for concealed carry in 36 states; Utah and Florida classes are $49.95 per application. 

“The purpose of The Range 702 offering both the firearms familiarization class and the CCW classes at no cost is to promote more ‘good guys’ having knowledge and access to firearms for protection purposes given the recent challenges regarding firearms faced in today’s society,” said Mike Heck, General Manager of The Range 702. “There are several other factors that play a role in minimizing gun violence and misuse, but we’re happy to be proactive in supporting those who wish to understand the safety aspect of firearms.”   

All classes will be held at The Range 702, 4699 South Dean Martin Drive, Las Vegas NV 89103. Participating school district employees are required to bring a district or school ID to verify school employment on the day of the firearms familiarization class. All Range 702 instructors are certified firearms professionals and NRA Certified Firearms Instructors; eye and ear protection, firearms, and ammunition will be provided.
