New Forum Food Court At Caesar's Palace Has 5 New Dining Options

Di Farra Pizza
The new Forum Food Court is now open at Caesars Palace. Forum Food Court makes its debut with five dining options: Di Fara Pizza; Phillips Seafood; Smashburger; Earl of Sandwich; and Tiger Wok & Ramen, bringing fresh, quality ingredients to guests in a casual quick-service format.

Di Fara Pizza- A New York institution since 1964, Di Fara Pizza has a legion of followers and a never-ending list of awards and accolades.  Di Fara Pizza was named “Best Pizza in New York” by several publications including New York magazine, Serious Eats and was proclaimed “the best of the best” by Anthony Bourdain. Di Fara was also the #1 Zagat rated pizzeria in New York City for eight years running, and Mayor Bill De Blasio declared Di Fara the “Best Pizza in NYC.” The Caesars Palace location will be the only other location of Di Fara Pizza, with each pie hand made using the finest and freshest imported ingredients including two types of mozzarella cheese, Grana Padano parmesan and San Marzano tomatoes. The pizza stays true to Domenico DeMarco’s original recipe, which has remained the same since day one, including the water—which has been flown in from the Catskill Mountains in New York. The menu features signature recipe pizzas, Calzones, sandwiches, pastas and classic New York desserts.

Smashburger- This is the first Strip location for the well-known burger restaurant. At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, All-natural Certified Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, the delicious burgers are served on toasted artisan buns and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and highest-quality condiments.

Phillips Seafood
Phillips Seafood- With a rich history of more than 100 years, Phillips Seafood introduces its first west coast location. Phillips prides itself on authenticity, with recipes spanning generations, passed to chefs from the kitchen of Shirley Phillips. The menu features seafood classics, including: Kettle Soups of New England clam chowder, Cream of Crab and Lobster Bisque; platters with crab cakes, grilled Mahi; steamed Dim Sum; and the Classic Lobster Roll.

Earl of Sandwich- The “World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich” makes its Caesars Palace debut, with its made to order, freshly baked favorites. Each ingredient is thoughtfully added, including the daily roasted beef, gourmet condiments and generous slices of the finest cheeses. Every sandwich is assembled on Earl of Sandwich signature artisan bread, which bakes fresh with each sandwich melding all the flavors perfectly.

Tiger Wok & Ramen- The first of its kind, Tiger Wok & Ramen offers guests a variety of Japanese and Chinese cuisine, including sushi rolls, Moo Shu Pork, Seasonal Stir Fry, Lo Mein noodles, two varieties of fried rice, made fresh daily ramen noodles with Tonkotsu and Shoyu broth that guests can customize with additional artisanal toppings, house braised pork belly and more.

Two additional outlets are set to open in January, including the family owned and operated Cincinnati-based Graeter’s ice cream.

Located adjacent to the famed Forum Shops at Caesars, in the former Cypress Street Marketplace,  the 14,900-square-foot-space features contemporary  and modern design, including new seating, fixtures and a full-service bar. Forum Food Court also includes a new Starbuck’s, which just opened in July. Forum Food Court is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with Di Fara open late till 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Local Favorite Off The Strip At The LINQ Now Open!!

Celebrate the holidays at The LINQ’s newest restaurant: Off The Strip.

A Las Vegas locals’ favorite since 2007, Off The Strip built a loyal following thanks to its classic bistro and bar comfort food and genuine, personalized service. That same fare and service is now at The LINQ. The 11,000-square-foot restaurant is open 23 hours, offering “just real food” for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The menu is simple and clean, featuring the signature comfort favorites Off The Strip is known for including steaks, chops, seafood and pasta dishes. The morning menu is especially noteworthy as it features healthy offerings from the “Fresh and Fit” menu. The cocktail program consists of craft beers and cocktails. All menus will change seasonally.

Indoor and outdoor seating is available, with the latter situated on prime Las Vegas Strip real estate—the Promenade at The LINQ—and ample opportunity for people-watching. Guests have direct access to The LINQ Hotel & Casino, as well as The High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel.

Founded by brothers Tom Goldsbury and the late Chef Al Hubbard, Off The Strip immediately became a locals’ hotspot when it opened in Southern Highlands seven years ago. One night, renowned restaurant executive Andrew Belmonti dined and immediately loved the food. Belmonti is known throughout the industry for opening more than 20 of the nation’s most successful restaurants, nightclubs and lounges, including N9NE Steakhouse. Around the same time, Off The Strip in Southern Highlands became known to Caesars executives who lived in the area and frequented the restaurant. Caesars eventually approached Goldsbury and Hubbard about bringing their concept to the Strip. It was that same concept that attracted the husband and wife team of James and Diane Cameron to the project, eventually becoming partners with Goldsbury and Belmonti. The rest was history.

School Of Rock 2nd Location Open! Enrolling Students Now!

School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education inspiring the world to rock on stage and in life, is now operating a second location in Nevada: School of Rock Green Valley at 55 S. Valle Verde Dr. #470 in the heart of Henderson.

Arriving just in time to help you give the most exciting gift any young person could get for the holidays, School of Rock Green Valley is currently enrolling students for its one-of-a-kind performance-based rock music programs.  An ingenious concept that helps kids (and adults!) efficiently and passionately learn music – and the business of music – School of Rock Green Valley provides its students with opportunities to rock out to classic and contemporary jams in private lessons, group band rehearsals and on stage with peers in front of sold-out audiences.  Students have the ability to become fluent on guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards and/or drums via their one-on-one sessions and then contextualize what they learned through the group rehearsals and performances.  The team dynamic creates a supportive and motivating environment where students feel inspired to excel – a refreshing and rare departure from traditional music education.

School of Rock programs emphasize the message that music is not just about playing an instrument; it’s about teamwork, building confidence and creating leaders.  The unique structure is largely focsed on youth ages 7-18 and includes “Rock 101,” which teaches basic skills to beginners as well as “Performance Program,” the second stage and heart and soul of School of Rock.  After about 12 weeks of one-on-one lessons and structured group rehearsals, students transform into rock stars in a blowout concert in front of a real live audience.  For even younger students, School of Rock Green Valley offers an enriching pre-school program called “Little Wing,” designed to introduce toddlers to the joys of music.  Adult programs also exist, which cater to those over the age of 18.  School of Rock Green Valley will also offer 5-10 day intensive summer, spring break and winter camps, which involve rehearsals and a grand finale show.  These intensive camps are guaranteed to transform beginners into full-blown rock performers.

School of Rock Green Valley will also host a “Guest Performer Series,” where students have the opportunity to learn from and jam with some of music’s most iconic names.  Previous visitors have included Jon Anderson, lead vocalist from the legendard rock band Yes, Earl Slick, David Bowie’s guitarist, seminal post-punk bass player Mike Watt, Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics and many others.  With the amount of top-notch acts who tour through Las Vegas and have an affinity for School of Rock’s mission, School of Rock Green Valley is expecting a hefty list of renowned rock performers to visit the school.

Teddi Tarnoff, the Regional Director for School of Rock in Las Vegas and Henderson, is in spearheading operations at School of Rock Green Valley and has been working on the project for nearly two years.  More impressive yet, the 29-year-old singer/songwriter has been with the company since its inception in 1998.  As one of the original 20 students at the first School of Rock location in Philadelphia, Tarnoff is a masterful musician who moved to Southern Nevada two years ago specifically to lead the Valley’s School of Rock endeavors.  And lead she did.  After the opening of School of Rock Las Vegas West located at 9340 W. Flamingo Rd. #117, the school quickly ascended to the top 10 best performing schools in the entire School of Rock system (there are currently 150 schools worldwide).  Witnessing firsthand how ardently Southern Nevada responded to School of Rock Las Vegas West, Tarnoff knew right away there was a need for School of Rock Green Valley.
“School of Rock is the perfect way to unleash talent and confidence in young musicians while giving them a taste of what a professional music career is like.  As a performing musician, I appreciate the valuable lessons music performance can bring to many aspects of your life,” said Tarnoff.  “For the past 11 years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to play a role in building kids’ musical skills and aspirations through School of Rock.  It’s been such a rewarding experience and I can’t wait to watch new students excel and thrive in our programs, and then subsequently succeed with the tools we provide them for the rest of their lives.”

At age 14, Tarnoff was one of the first School of Rock students.  By 16, she was teaching vocals, directing shows and running the AllStar program (a nationwide touring opportunity for any School of Rock student).  She also attended Temple University for Jazz Vocal Performance.  As a touring musician, Tarnoff has had the opportunity to perform both in the U.S. and abroad with countless rock legends and also served as the lead singer and guitarist for two all-female tribute bands.  Currently, she performs original music under her own name as well as with her band, The Northern Lights.  With plans to open two additional locations in the Valley due to high demand for School of Rock’s unmatched training and performance opportunities, the young entrepreneur looks forward to spreading rock ‘n roll throughout the region and growing the musical community she has built in Nevada.

Stay tuned for School of Rock Green Valley’s Grand Opening Celebration, taking place on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2105.  Leading up to its grand opening event, School of Rock Green Valley will be hosting an Open House every Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. where community members will have the chance to tour the new school, meet the expert staff and sign up for complimentary trial lessons.  While everyone is encouraged to stop in at any point during operating hours, the Open House dates include: Dec. 16, 20, 27, 30 and Jan. 3, 6, 10, 13, 17 and 20.
School of Rock Green Valley is open Tuesday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with hours expected to expand as lessons and rehearsals continue to grow.  For more information on the school, please e-mail Tarnoff at ttarnoff@schoolofrock.com or visit greenvalley.schoolofrock.com.  To schedule a trial lesson, please call 702.778.1400.

For information on the Valley’s first location, School of Rock Las Vegas West, please visit lasvegaswest.schoolofrock.com or call 702.778.9382.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy arrived on the music scene in 1993 with their legendary residency at the Brown Derby Nightclub in Los Angeles. In 1996, the band rocketed to fame after performing “You & Me and the Bottle Makes Three (Tonight)” and “Go Daddy-O” in the hit movie, “Swingers.”
