Bellagio
Resort & Casino’s nationally recognized pianist David Osborne recently won
“Concert Performer of the Year” at the 24th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards
(LAMA). Osborne was nominated for two awards and performed for guests at a
private dinner for the award recipients. The LA Music Awards was founded in
1991 to honor the rising stars of independent music while giving them a
platform to move toward commercial success. It created a Hollywood media event
that generates high profile publicity.
The
famed musician will perform at Rockefeller Center in New York City on MSNBC’s
weekday morning talk show “The Morning Joe,” during the holidays, speaking
about his upcoming performance Tuesday, Dec. 23 at The White House. Osborne
will perform while the First Family unwraps Christmas presents among private
guests. The White House will be filled with Osborne’s rendition of Stevie
Wonder’s “Overjoyed” and “Ribbon in the Sky” while intertwining traditional
Christmas tunes such as “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “Carol of
the Bells.”
ABOUT
DAVID OSBORNE:
Known as
the “Pianist to the Presidents,” Bellagio Resort & Casino performer David
Osborne has played at the White House for President Barack Obama and former Presidents
Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W.
Bush. Considered by many to be the
country’s leading romantic piano recording artist, Osborne uses his classical
study and technique to execute flawless piano performances of Broadway,
romantic, classical and ageless music of the American songbook. His touch and feel for romantic love songs
has created a unique style and has earned him the title “Master of the Romantic
Piano.” Osborne has performed at the Baccarat Bar and Petrossian Lounge at
Bellagio since the resort’s grand opening in 1998 and guests can enjoy his
music five nights a week. During his
career, Osborne has performed at venues throughout the United States including
a nine-year residency at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, Fla.,
the Adam’s Mark Hotel in St. Louis, Mo. and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. In addition to his domestic performances,
Osborne also has traveled internationally to entertain celebrities and
well-known dignitaries.
I have been a David Osborne fan for years. I have seen him perform on 3 occasions at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. As a huge fan of the keyboard, in my opinion Mr. Osborne's talents are equivalent to if not better than that of the great Sir Elton John. Mr. David Osborne's personality is not that of typical performers. He takes the time to notice his audience and personally greets them and makes them feel he has known them all their lives and takes the time for photo sessions with his fans. If you have not heard David Osborne's music you need to take the time to visit him at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. You'll agree that it is time well spent.
