List Of Upcoming Concerts For The Brooklyn Bowl

The Taj Mahal Trio & John Hiatt The Combo
Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas – named a “game changer for the Strip” by Vegas Magazine - will welcome EDM mainstays Chromeo, Flume, Cut Copy and Disclosure as part of their diverse August lineup.

The Taj Mahal Trio and John Hiatt & The Combo – Sat, Aug. 2
Taj Mahal is one of the most prominent and influential figures in late 20th century blues and roots music; and John Hiatt's mercurial tastes have led to a varied and impressive musical career. (show: 8pm, admission $35-$40.)
Watch the Taj Mahal Trio's live performance of "Blues With a Feeling".

Disclosure – Wed, Aug. 6
Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence continue to push the UK garage and house sounds with their stop in Las Vegas. (show: 9pm, admission: $50.)
Watch their video for Latch featuring Sam Smith.

Chromeo – Thu, Aug. 7
Let the suave Montreal duo move you with their electro-funk. Their latest album, White Women, showcases the band at its most ambitious, with both the pop and the muso elements of Chromeo pushed into the red. (show: 8 pm, admission: $30-$40)
Watch their music video for Jealous (I Ain't With It).

Flume – Thu, Aug. 7
22-year-old rising wunderkind, Flume, creates atmospheric, beat-driven music that draws on a range of influences to create a fresh new sound; one capable of bringing a festival crowd to fever pitch and then bringing it right back down again on demand. (show: 11:59pm, admission: $20.)
Listen to his track Holdin On.

Cut Copy – Fri, Aug. 8
Let Melbourne psychedelic crew Cut Copy free your mind. Participating in the forms of cultural practice that develop in and around the club, the quartet discovered a portal to the UK acid house movement through Melbourne’s booming subterranean dance community. (show: 9pm, admission: $30-$40)
Watch their video for Free Your Mind.

Honda Civic Tour Featuring Grouplove & Portugal. The Man – Sat, Aug. 16 (show: 8pm, admission: $35-40)

Grouplove
After scoring success with their chart topping single "Tongue Tied" and spending over two years on the road supporting their 2011 debut Never Trust A Happy Song, Grouplove took less than a week's break before beginning work on their new album, Spreading Rumours. Spreading Rumours sees Grouplove elevating from a band of friends jangling together music and words without much direction into focused artists making a beautiful album together - standing behind one vision and a sound that is uniquely their own.
Watch their video for Tongue Tied.

Portugal. The Man
Six full-length albums in six years, nonstop touring, a stint with The Black Keys and festival stops at Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, Portugal. The Man embodies all dimensions of DIY rock range.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Sun, Aug. 17
At a time when so much of the industry’s output has become the musical equivalent of junk mail, listening to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones is like receiving a series of postcards from a vacationing friend: handwritten, infectiously fun, wish-you-were-here inclusive, and, overall, personal. (show: 8pm, admission: $38.50-$44)

Groundation – Thu, Aug. 28
Bursting forth from their underground status, Groundation has taken the music world by storm. Capturing the essence and drive of true roots reggae, the widely renowned band takes the art form to new heights by blending elements of jazz, funk, salsa, soul and transcendental dub in a progressive amalgam of sound all their own. (show: 9pm, admission: $16.50)

DJ ?uestlove Presents: Bowltrain – Thu, Aug. 28 and Fri, Aug. 29
American music legend ?uestlove is bringing the heat back to Las Vegas, accompanied by throwback Soul Train videos! His vinyl collection contains more than 50,000 records giving him the ability to tear up the dance floor with the most eclectic sets of hip-hop, house, 80's, rare grooves and a mix of everything in between. (show: 11:59pm, admission: $11-$20)
Groove to his Boiler Room set!

The Avett Brothers – Fri, Aug. 29 – Sun, Aug. 31
Hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as having the "heavy sadness of Townes Van Zandt, the light pop concision of Buddy Holly, the tuneful jangle of the Beatles, the raw energy of the Ramones," the Avett Brothers bring their artful distillation of classic homegrown folk, rock energy, bluegrass soul and pop charm to Las Vegas for 3 nights. (show: 8pm, admission: $59)

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will begin its summer weekday hours on August 1 and will open at 5pm Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday weekend hours remain the same and will open at noon and feature a special crave-worthy weekend brunch from 12pm-4pm in addition to the restaurant menu, 32 lanes of family-friendly bowling, and live concerts.  Visit www.brooklynbowl.com for more information.

LOL With Comedian Russell Peters At The Pearl On 8/2

Celebrated comedian Russell Peters returns to The Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort on Aug. 2, 2014 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49, plus any additional service fees.

Russell Peters is back and exploring new material! After the very successful release of Notorious on Netflix, Peters finds himself back on the road putting together new material as he works through a handful of 2014 dates. Fans can be prepared for some crowd work and…some randomness, all mixed with the comedic styling Peters is known for.

This year has been big for Peters who signed on to be a judge for this season’s “Last Comic Standing” on NBC. He joins the likes of Roseanne Barr, Keenen Ivory Wayans and JB Smoove as they search for the funniest talent in America (premiered May 22).

Peters spent most of 2013 touring with the Notorious live show which followed a string of special performances and appearances including being the first comedian to play Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center in November 2012. More than 10,000 fans attended the show, making it the largest comedy show ever in the history of the New York City borough.

Peters’ special, The Green Card Tour LIVE From the O2 Arena, was recorded in London in 2010.  The special was broadcast on Showtime, Comedy Central, Netflix USA and Netflix UK. In 2009, Peters set a UK attendance record for the highest attendance for a one-off comedy show with more than 16,000 fans attending his show at the O2 Arena. Peters also went on to have the highest attended comedy shows at Sydney, Australia’s Acer Arena and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena in 2010.

Starting in 2008, Peters was one of the first stand-up comedians to self-finance, self-produce and distribute his own comedy specials and DVDs, with Red, White and Brown and 2011’s, The Green Card Tour LIVE from the O2 Arena. The DVDs went on to sell more than 250,000 units across North America. Peters is currently developing original programming for Netflix.

Listed on the Forbes List as one of the top ten Highest Earning Comics in the U.S. in 2009 and 2010, Russell Peters has spent the past 23 years building a career to become one of the biggest comics in the world.

Doors at the Pearl will open at 7 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. The Pearl Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days. Follow The Pearl on Twitter at @PearlatPalms for concert announcements and event information.

Why Not Enjoy "Ditch Fridays" With A Passion Pit DJ Set!

It's Dive 'n' Movie Night At Wet'n Wild Tonight!

Back by popular demand, Dive‘n’Movies at Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas starts at at 8 p.m. tonight. Movie nights are free with the price of admission and are an added benefit for Season Pass holders. During the day, guests can take advantage of the park’s many slides and attractions including the new Tornado extreme funnel slide that provides a zero gravity experience, and then catch great movies under the stars every Friday night.

“Our Dive‘n’Movies proved to be a family favorite last year so we're starting these special events earlier this season and have added more dates,” said Takuya Ohki, general manager of Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas. “They're a great way for the whole family to spend time together. We'll be showing a wide range of movies from animated classics to favorite action features that are perfect for all ages.”

Dive‘n’Movies will be every Friday from June to Aug. 22 at the Red Rock Bay Wave Pool which will transform into a unique outdoor cinema. Guests will be able to view blockbuster films while relaxing on inflatable tubes, available to rent, or on lounge chairs enjoying popcorn and other snacks.

Movie times are 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. when the park closes. For the complete movie schedule, visit www.wetnwildlasvegas.com/Events/DivenMovieslv.asp. Dates and times are subject to change.

Wet‘n’Wild is also offering a Twilight admission option for $19.99 for guests who want to enjoy the park at 4 p.m. and later to take advantage of Wet‘n’Wild’s extended hours this season. It will stay open until 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“We created the Twilight admission option to give guests more flexibility with pricing and hours,” said Ohki. “We realize some people may be working or are busy earlier in the day, and it’s easier to come later and still enjoy the park, particularly with our extended hours and reduced priced ticket.”

Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas is located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Rd., just southwest of the I-215 and Sunset Road intersection. For information, visit www.wetnwildlasvegas.com call (702) 979-1600 or visit www.facebook.com/WetnWildLasVegas.
