TAO Beach opened this Week-End with Supermodel Irina Shayk and More Celebs!

Jordan Bratman

Jamie Foxx & Gabrielle Union

Supermodel Irina Shayk

Sunny skies and famous faces ushered in the fifth season of TAO Beach on Saturday.

Supermodel Irina Shayk played host for the festivities, bringing her mom along for the celebration.  When asked her beauty secrets, Irina shared, “Enjoy life, go to Vegas,” explaining “If you are happy on the inside, you’re happy on the outside and it shows.”   The stunning supermodel took center stage at the grand cabana overlooking the pool and the entire party.

Beautiful women were everywhere, with actresses Gabrielle Union, Sophia Bush, Garcelle Beauvais and Dania Ramirez all taking in the scene from a cabana.  Vegas was the last stop on a week-long road trip for Sophia Bush and she chose to end it with a glamorous last day at TAO Beach. When Sophia arrived Gabrielle greeted her with a round of shots.  Dania, Garcelle and Gabrielle all soaked up the sun on the chaises in front of their cabana and danced around. Dwight Freeney of the Indianapolis Colts joined Gabrielle in the cabana later in the afternoon.

Columbus Short was spotted partying with girlfriend Tanee McCall, and Glee’s Max Adler and his girlfriend kept cool with frozen treats and specialty cocktails.

The afternoon saw the arrival of Jamie Foxx, who made his way to the grand cabana and quickly took hold of the mic. “I came to TAO to party and have a good time.  That’s what Vegas is about.”  Foxx and DJ Ross One teamed up to take the party to another level, getting the pool-goers to sing along to every hit played.  He sprayed the crowd with Champagne and also made sure to let everyone in the crowd know that Tiesto was hanging out in the grand cabana, as the famed DJ was mobbed by guys and girls alike.  Tiesto, who stayed at the party until the end, was seen spraying people with a giant water gun.

Foxx pulled up both Gabrielle and Garcelle for the packed pool to see and also had the entire venue salute Nate Dogg, who recently passed away.  After staying on the mic for nearly two hours Foxx finally sat down to catch some of the NCAA game on the flat screens inside the cabana and snack on some of the signature dishes from TAO Beach.

Jordan Bratman arrived later in the afternoon, joining the party in the grand cabana with several guy friends.

Kelis in Las Vegas! At TAO! Plus Glee sighting!

Friday night Kelis hosted at TAO.  The songstress arrived with a group of friends, heading in to the restaurant a dinner of signature dishes before joining the crowd in the nightclub.  Sitting at a VIP table in the moat section, Kelis took in the sounds of guest DJ Ross One. Inspired by the scene, Kelis grabbed a mic and headed up to the stage to surprise the club, first with her hit “Milkshake”, which had all of the ladies singing along, and followed up with “Acapella.”  After stunning the crowd she instructed them to “dance whenever you get the chance,” and then went back to enjoy the night from her table.  Earlier in the day she was spotted soaking in the rays from a cabana at TAO Beach.

At LAVO, supermodel Irina Shayk dined with her mother and manager, choosing to call it an early night after dinner so she could rest up for her duties hosting the season opening of TAO Beach on Saturday.

Glee’s Max Adler dined on LAVO’s expansive Strip front terrace with his girlfriend and his father.  They enjoyed specialty dishes outside, taking in the perfect spring weather before making their way to the nightclub.

Actress Garcelle Beauvais was also spotted dining at LAVO.

MGM Grand's 2011 Three Knockout Ring Girls Chosen!! Gorgeous!

Miss Knockout Winners @ Studio 54 Las Vegas

Laura Croft Sashing Miss Knockout Winner Jeannie Duffy

Miss Knockout Winner Danielle Davidson

Angel Porrino Sashing Miss Knockout Winner Danielle Davidson
The search for MGM Grand’s 2011 boxing ring girls came to an end last night as Studio 54 inside MGM Grand announced the three Miss Knockout winners, Jeannie Duffy, Danielle Davidson and Michelle Tarajcak.

Angel Porrino and Laura Croft of Holly’s World, as well as News 8 NOW anchor Chris Saldaña and KTNV Sports Director Doug Kezirian, served as celebrity guest judges and had a difficult choice ahead of them as 20 stunning ladies, all winners from the four preliminary rounds, entered the fierce competition.

The contestants pulled out all the stops for the competition, hitting the red carpet with their glitter-covered bodies, sparkly bikinis, teased hair, oversized earrings and sky-high stilettos. The stakes were high as each lady was competing for the chance to win the official title of Miss Knockout, $5,000 cash, an official year-long contract with MGM Grand and a VIP party with their friends at Studio 54 after every boxing match.

Inside the illustrious nightclub, DJ Forbes pumped up the crowd as they danced to Pitbull’s “Hotel Room Service.” The venue was decorated from top to bottom in boxing flare as punching bags hung from the ceiling and the stage was made to look like a boxing ring. Studio 54’s DJ Loczi took the mic to host the contest. “Yo, Las Vegas! Are you ready to have a good time tonight?” shouted Loczi as the crowd erupted in cheers.

As anticipation in the club began to rise, the always charming Studio 54 dancers took the stage rocking seductive lingerie and red, thigh-high go-go boots. Club-goers watched in amazement as the girls danced to the sound of DJ Loczi’s signature “Electric Dream” under an aerialist spinning from a sparkling star.

At last, the bikini babes paraded onstage under a shower of colorful confetti, and the crowd welcomed the ladies with cheers and whistles. Before introducing the ladies one by one, DJ Loczi explained to the crowd that the judges would choose the winners based on appearance, physique, communication skills, confidence and showmanship. “MGM Grand is known for hosting the biggest boxing matches in the world,” announced Loczi, “And with important dignitaries sitting ring side, including big names in sports and entertainment, the winners must be sexy, poised and confident.”

Each contestant showed off their ring girl skills by climbing over boxing ring ropes in 4 inch tall heels and worked the crowd while holding up ring cards. Loczi asked each of the ladies to describe themselves in three words, giving the judges and audience a glimpse of their personalities. One of the words Duffy used was “patriotic.” She added that she served in the United States Air Force for six years.

While the judges tallied their votes, DJ Forbes rocked the house with Wiz Khalifa’s "Black and Yellow" and Rihanna's new hit "S & M.”

Standing on stage, the girls were excited and nervous, hoping to hear their name. Duffy was announced first, and she took center stage to accept her new title and collect her awards from the judges as tears of bliss were steaming streaming down her gleaming face. She was joined by Davidson and Tarajcak, and the girls reveled in the spotlight as balloons and more confetti rained down over them.

Now that the competition is over, the ladies will begin to prepare for their first fight on April 9 when Erik Morales and Marcos Maidana meet in the title match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. They also will work the highly anticipated fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley on May 7.

Absinthe, The Fantastical Blend of Carnival and Spectacle, Debuts in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace!

One part vivid imagination, two parts carnival and a shot of old world burlesque mixed with a heavy dash of decadence and you have ABSINTHE, a unique show that premieres Strip-side on Friday, April 1.  This new production by internationally renowned Spiegelworld, BASE Entertainment and Jess Ravich makes its vibrant debut at the Roman Plaza at Caesars Palace.

An imaginative show in a unique venue, ABSINTHE is the crown jewel of the Spiegelworld experience, an adult carnival that will transform the Roman Plaza in front of Caesars Palace into an entertainment playground.  As the sun sets and the vibrant energy of The Strip sets in, Spiegelworld provides a retreat from reality. It allows party-goers to trip through a captivating maze of tents and early 20th Century European décor housing an adult carnival, complete with a secret speakeasy, raucous beer garden and mischievous drinking games including “Flip Stein” and “Dom Pong.”  As nightfall approaches, this enchanting world opens to an intimate setting for all ABSINTHE performances, which take place in the masterful centerpiece Spiegeltent, a heritage wooden show tent from Europe opulently decorated with mirrors, stained glass and velvet. Audience members are immersed in an intimate emporium where all of the wild and outlandish acts of ABSINTHE unfold in a theatre-in-the-round presentation.

ABSINTHE is a surreal experience for all adults.  Audiences are treated to a night of imagination and excess with performances that amaze and inspire. The cast of eccentrics evoke thrills and chills as they perform amazing feats of virtuosity within mere feet of the audience surrounding the intimate stage.  ABSINTHE takes audience members back to a place where the raw energy, talent and sensuality of performers from around the world tempt every sense imaginable.

The ringleader of ABSINTHE and its carnival of crazy characters, is the one and only, Gazillionaire who leads the intimate audience of 600 people down a decadence-laced and fun-fueled evening of extraordinary performances.

The Gazillionaire is bringing a group of his most outrageous friends, family and even servants to ABSINTHE, to entertain and mesmerize crowds in this 90 minute performance.   Those who have decided to embark on this dazzling adventure include his loyal assistant Penny, “The Green Fairy,” his butler Max, “The Weather Girl,” "Duo Ssens," "The Skating Aratas" and "The Esteemed Gentlemen of the High Wire."

Critics and fans alike find ABSINTHE a unique one-of-a-kind experience.  The New York Times hails ABSINTHE is “Cirque du Soleil channeled through the ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’” and continues by saying audience members are “close enough to see the sweat and grimaces needed to produce graceful, gravity defying stunts.”  Celebrity fans include Gerard Butler, Daniel Radcliffe and Dylan McDermott to name a few.

“Caesars Entertainment has long been committed to bringing first class entertainment to Las Vegas,” says Bonnie Gilmour, Vice President of Marketing for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas.  “We believe Spiegelworld and ABSINTHE will make a unique and exciting addition to the array of entertainment options we provide for our guests.”
