Ferraro's Italian Restaurant Adds New Light Summer Menu Items!

Summer in the desert brings flavorful, light new menu offerings paired with crisp, refreshing wines at Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar. New standing options, together with featured specials that will vary nightly, join all of guests’ favorites on Ferraro’s summer menu.

Fresh summer produce figures prominently in dishes like Zucchini Pizza, topped with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, ricotta, Pecorino Romano and extra virgin olive oil, as well as Pollo o Vitello Sorrento, which features chicken breast or veal scaloppini accompanied by eggplant, fresh mozzarella, fresh herbs and white wine tomato sauce.

A variety of new summer pasta dishes feature seasonal vegetables, such as Gnocchi e Piselli, which pairs house-made potato dumplings with fresh peas, pancetta and cherry tomatoes, and Rigatoni Toscano, with homemade pasta, broccoli rapini, homemade Calabrese sausage, Calabrese peppers, cannellini beans, olive oil and garlic. Another summertime favorite – fresh, Safe-Harbor® seafood – makes an appearance in Penne con Gamberoni, starring homemade pasta, shrimp, zucchini, sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts and tangy ricotta salata. Seafood lovers will also crave Fettuccine Mare Monte, featuring jumbo lump crab meat, mixed mushrooms, fresh herbs, white wine and finished with a drizzle of olive oil.

In addition to the new menu items, guests dining at Ferraro’s during the summer can look forward to nightly specials such as chilled soups, dishes made with figs and fava beans and—an Italian summer delight—delicately stuffed and fried zucchini flowers.

To complement these summer dishes, guests can choose a refreshing accompaniment to dinner from Ferraro’s incomparable wine list. The restaurant carries a robust selection of the best Italian white wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco, Moscato d’Asti and sparkling Prosecco. Or, select a glass of Ferraro’s unique and ever-changing house-made sangria, made with chilled white wine infused with ingredients such as fresh cantaloupe and honeydew melon, chamomile grappa and fresh mint.
“Each year, I look forward to adapting our menu to highlight the best summer has to offer,” says, Chef Mimmo Ferraro. “From my family to yours, we invite you to take a vacation from cooking and come join us for a memorable dinner.”

Open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Ferraro’s is located at 4480 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89169 (across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino). Whether fans are looking for something sweet or savory, a bite on the go or a sit-down experience, there will be a number of new tasty options available.

New this year, well-known Las Vegas food trucks will roll into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to provide fans a variety of food menus throughout the festival grounds. Fare will be available for purchase from food trucks such as Bake My Day Cupcakes, Can’t Dutch This, Dragon Grille, Lobsta Trap, Oming’s Kitchen, Sausagefest, Sin City Dogs, Sully’s Taste of Chicago, The Hummus Factory, Truk-N-Yaki and Wa Da Pho. Additionally, local restaurants including Desnudo Tacos, District One, Nacho Daddy, Naked City Pizza and Skinny Fats will serve up a selection of signature menu items for the first time at EDC.

The VIP Dining Deck will return for the second year and offer a seated, multi-course dinner from Chef Keven Lee as festival-goers enjoy the views overlooking the KineticFIELD stage. Recognized as one of Hollywood’s hottest culinary masterminds, Chef Lee in conjunction with Kitchen24 will prepare three courses of gourmet cuisine that draws inspiration from the energetic atmosphere of the dusk-till-dawn festival.

“Last year’s sit-down dinner was the best dining experience I have ever had at any festival,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac “I’m excited to continue creating that experience with our incredible partners at Kitchen 24. This is a completely new way to experience EDC.”

VIP ticket holders who book a reserved time slot will begin their culinary journey with bite-sized hors d'œuvres, followed by a choice of an appetizer such as the Electric Fruit Bowl and Graffiti Tacos. The main, and final, course will feature four options including a Kobe Kong Massive Meatball served with grilled garlic broccoli, White Cheddar, Barley and Polenta Cake that can also be supplemented with tofu as a vegan option, Furamaki Ahi Tuna, or a turkey burger on a fresh brioche bun. All guests must already have a VIP or Cabana wristband to enter the dining deck area. Reservations are available in two-hour time slots between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. and can be made online. Packages are $75 per person and can accommodate up to eight guests per table.

For those that are looking for a quick bite, the VIP Café will offer tastes from Las Vegas food trucks Dragon Grille, Quality Food Service and That’s Amore as well as tastes from Chef Lee. Menu items will span across various cultures and include beef brisket, Asian-marinated chicken, pork dumplings, meatball sandwiches, sausage and pepper sandwiches, carne asada fries, and the PLUR smoothie that mixes pineapple, lemonade, ume plum and raspberry for a cool treat.  The Café deck will be open from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will allow guests to choose a specially curated meal from one of the gourmet food tucks. In order to gain access, fans need to purchase a pass for $60, which will give them access to one specialty meal per day during all three days of the festival. These passes can be purchased in advance online or on site at the host stand.

For the second year in a row, EDC is providing fans with the exciting opportunity to get married at the festival and, for the first time, this year’s wedding packages also include reception options for the entire wedding party to enjoy. The first package, available for $35 per person, will include passed appetizers, a celebratory champagne toast and dedicated wait staff. The second option priced at $125 per person, will also include a choice of an entrée from the VIP Dining Deck menu and a commemorative bottle of champagne for the bride and groom signed by the Insomniac team. Neon Trees Live Tonight At The Cosmopolitan...VIP Cabanas Available!

Neon Trees live on the mophie stage at Boulevard Pool

Neon Trees’ new album Pop Psychology is an upbeat collection of sleek, modern alternative pop powered by singer-songwriter Tyler Glenn’s bright melodies, huge choruses, and witty lyrics about the challenges of finding love in the digital age.

The final songs for the album were spawned in writing sessions the band had in Los Angeles. Songwriting has always been an emotional outlet for Glenn, who grew up next door to Chris Allen in Murrieta, Calif., and followed him to Provo when Allen moved there for college. Neon Trees honed their New Wave-tinged sound locally before being chosen to open for The Killers in 2008. Shortly after, they signed to Mercury Records and released Habits, which spawned the platinum-selling breakthrough single “Animal.” The track peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, No. 2 on the Rock Songs chart, and was featured on Glee. Its success led to multiple high-profile TV appearances, and tours with Thirty Seconds To Mars, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and Duran Duran. The band’s ascending profile smoothed the way for their next album, Picture Show, which debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart and featured the platinum-selling Top 10 single “Everybody Talks,” which cemented Neon Trees as modern rock contenders.

A limited number of premium cabanas are also available by emailing NightlifeMarketing@Cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or by calling 702.698.7778. Guests must be 21+ to reserve a cabana.

Acclaimed Las Vegas-based artist Angel Delgado will present a new series of paintings and sculptures in a solo exhibition titled "Constancy" opening at the Amanda Harris Gallery of Contemporary Art on June 14 with a special opening reception.

The pieces include carved soap blocks, drawings on handkerchiefs and paintings. Delgado’s impressive work is largely based on the limitations, restrictions, prohibitions and controls that are frequently imposed on human beings in society.

Delgado has shown his work internationally for over 15 years, including solo shows in Havana, Madrid, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Istanbul, and Pittsburgh.

Now in Las Vegas, Delgado’s exhibit will be celebrated with an opening wine reception and artist talk at the Amanda Harris Gallery on June 14, and a special video performance will be held on July 10.
