Ridesharing Company UBER Unites With MADD For St. Patrick's Day
Uber is giving back to ensure Nevadans have a safe ride home this St. Patrick’s Day. For every new customer who takes his or her first Uber ride this Thursday, March 17, Uber will donate $5 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Nevada. The ridesharing company will also give new riders $15 off their first ride with promo code STPATTYS16.
The availability and affordability of Uber rides is a key alternative to drunk driving in Nevada and other states where Uber operates. When people are empowered with an on-demand, affordable transportation option like Uber, they make better choices that save lives. In fact, a recent study conducted by Uber showed that people's mindsets around drinking and driving are shifting. 93 percent of all respondents to a nationwide survey would recommend their friends take Uber instead of driving if they had been drinking alcohol.
Uber is a proud partner with MADD as part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness about drunk and impaired driving and reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes. We ask you to take the responsible way home this St. Patrick’s Day and every day of the year.
