What
do you do when Head MONSTER Noel Lee invites you to brunch in Las Vegas at a
beautiful restaurant? Why you GO! First of all a little background on whom
MONSTER is and no it is not the energy drink.
MONSTER is the brainchild of Head MONSTER Mr. Noel Lee who through his
love of music led him to develop high quality audio cables in 1979. At this
time the company was the quintessential garage business. But prior to the
development of MONSTER, Noel worked at Lawrence-Livermore Laboratories. His
love of music lured him to leave the corporate world behind and he was part of
the band Asian Wood. Now he can look back with fondness at those carefree days
playing his music and knocking around Hawaii. Then the band broke up and Noel
was back in San Francisco and BOOM… MONSTER was formed. Noel’s achievements also include being awarded
the Plus X Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in shaping a market and was
named Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.
Through
all of these changes the constant was Noel’s love of music. At this time in the
music industry the cables were still very large and bulky. It was Noel’s dream
to create a high quality audio cable that would deliver a “Lamborghini quality
sound” to musicians and streamline the cables.
Success soon followed and Noel delivered a high quality cable to
musicians such as Santana, Miles Davis and many more who became MONSTER clients
due to the high quality sound and how it delivered their music to fans.

For a
company to be successful and for a developer such as Noel the motion is always forward
and he strongly believes; “Always stay with what people need and our products
are built for what our consumers want. And give them quality!” Now MONSTER has
an entire high quality product line including headphones, speakers, power
products and more. What really caught my
eye because I truly enjoy “sparkly items” were the 24K Over-Ear Headphones by
Monster® and the newly released Our N-Tune™ On-Ear headphones in pearly
shimmery colors. These headphones deliver music, gaming and all audio
experiences with a punch! Clear, precise and with thumping base these
headphones are top quality and if you get the y cord you can share your music,

MONSTER
had the ultimate compliment of being asked to pair with a high fashion house
and create custom headphones. YES the house of Chanel asked MONSTER to design
headphones for them. Sleek and black and with a custom Chanel bag these
headphones are the ultimate in fashionable headgear. They premiered in 2014 and
were seen on the Chanel runway in Paris. And of course they are quilted! If fashion
legend Karl Lagerfield says MONSTER products are Chanel quality then this
endorsement speaks volumes for MONSTER.

to go. One of the newest products to come down the MONSTER line is the new Superstar

Every
company experiences hiccups and MONSTER has certainly experienced a heart
burning one! You would almost have to not of been exposed to any type of
marketing, commercials, celebrity endorsements to not have seen the uber
popular Beats by Dr. Dre. They were in every swag bag under the sun for celebrities
and were even mentioned in BRAVO’s Andy Cohen’s latest book “The Andy Cohen
Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year.”
These
headphones were a huge success and they were developed in conjunction with MONSTER,
however Beats has since ceased providing MONSTER with any type of recognition.
It seems like they wanted to pursue a bigger deal with a certain fruit labeled
company. Not entirely honest and both sides will have their day in court. BUT
keep in mind that if you are looking for a high quality product whether it is audio
cables, headphones, power sources and more MONSTER will continue to provide
many choices to the consumer.

On a
personal note Noel is outgoing, friendly and willing to answer any questions. His
parents named him "Noel" because he was born on Christmas Day. While
they have grown children Noel and wife just became proud “pawrents” of a super
cute Pomeranian who I suspect has his own personal VIP Host at the Bellagio!
