Motley
Brew’s 2015 Great Vegas Festival of Beer continues to push craft beer festival
boundaries by hosting one of the largest beer selections in the country
featuring 400 brews from more than 100 breweries throughout the streets of
Downtown Las Vegas on Saturday, April 11 from 3 to 7 p.m.
Commemorating
the festival’s fifth anniversary, Motley Brews collaborated with CraftHaus
Brewery to create a celebratory brew that only festival guests will have the
opportunity to sample. The fifth anniversary beer, dubbed “Motley in the Haus,”
is an Xtra Pale Ale brewed with five different hop varietals and will contain 5.5
percent ABV. Motley Brews left the naming of the brew to fans of the event
through a social media contest on the Great Vegas Festival of Beer Facebook
page.
In
addition, the Nevada Craft Brewers Association has once again collaborated on a
festival-exclusive beer. Brewers from local Las Vegas breweries gathered in
February to create “Banana Split,” a German-style hefeweizen brewed with
vanilla beans and cacao nibs. “Banana Split” will be available exclusively in
the NCBA Pavilion at the festival, alongside several one-off releases from
Nevada breweries.
Notable
local additions to the brewery lineup include Old School Brewing Co., Hop Nuts
Brewing Co. and Tonopah Brewing Co., who all join the festivities for the first
time. Other newcomers from around the country include Presenting Sponsor Alpine
Beer Co., Rough Draft, The Bruery, and many more. Motley Brews once again
caters to all guests’ desires with a multitude of beer styles, ciders, and
wines.
Along
with the vast variety of brews, festival-goers will enjoy live music on the
Land Rover Main Stage and eat delicious beer-inspired culinary dishes created
by celebrity chefs and local restaurants inside the Gastropub. Guests will also
have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals such as Greg Schirf
of Wasatch Brewery, Bill Sysak of Stone Brewing Co. and more in the BrewLogic
sessions. Guests looking for alternative entertainment have the chance to dance
the day away at the House of Blues & Foundation Room Silent Disco and play
life-sized pub games at the Zappos Human Arcade.
Tickets
are now on sale and priced at $40 for General Admission and $50 for Early
Entry, available online until the day of the festival. Pending availability,
General Admission and Early Entry tickets will be available at the door for $45
and $55 respectively. VIP tickets have already sold out. Doors open for Early
Entry and VIP ticket holders at 2 p.m. A portion of ticket proceeds will
benefit Goodie Two Shoes Foundation and Nevada Craft Brewers Association
(NCBA). For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the Great
