"Keeping Watch" |
In
the Year of the Sheep, Chinese always mention “San-Tang-Tai,” which can be
translated as “Three Goats (or Sheep) Start Fortune.” In honor of 2015, Year of
the Sheep, The Knuttel Gallery is offering a limited edition giclée print on
paper featuring Graham Knuttel’s famous painting “Keeping Watch” which depicts
three sheep (pictured here) with any purchase of $500 or more.
Sheep
are regarded as one of the Chinese lucky animals with their mild personalities
and friendliness to humans.
Often
referred to as the “Irish Picasso,” Graham Knuttel gives us disgruntled chefs,
second-rate mobsters, melancholic worldly women, frisky felines and sailors who
smell of rum, but smell more of the sea. The humor is deep, dark and rueful.
His work takes account of humanity, wherever it is located, in all its
durability and has attracted an eclectic group
of collectors including Sylvester Stallone, Colin Farrell and Bono, to
name a few.
This
offer is available now through March 6, 2015. Please call The Knuttel Gallery
at 702-228-8808 for more information.
