The
ISPE Annual Conference is announcing its 6th Annual ISPE 5K charity run on Las
Vegas Blvd on October 13, 2014, the second day of its annual convention in Las
Vegas. Runners will depart at 7am from Caesars Palace by the Forum shops and
will head north up The Strip, passing the Mirage Volcano, Treasure Island and
the Venetian/Palazzo. The running tour will then turn east past Wynn and Encore
and to the new LINQ where they will run under the Highroller - the world's
largest observation wheel - on the way to the Cromwell, one of the hottest new
hotels on The Strip, which opened in May of 2014. Runners will ante up for the
last stretch as they curve by the Bellagio Fountains and round back into
Caesars toward the finish line. Five race day "dealers" will be scattered
throughout the course to give runners a playing card, and the best poker hand
at the finish line wins a prize. All of the runners will receive a race shirt
and goodie bag.
100%
of the proceeds for the race will be donated to The Crohn's and Colitis
Foundation of America (CCFA), a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization
dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. The
event is the first of its kind, a major medical convention sponsoring a
wellness fundraising activity on the Las Vegas Strip, benefitting a local
charity.
