The PSCA Record Breaker Nationals Come To The LVMS

The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the PSCA Record Breaker Nationals this weekend. The event is the season-opener for the popular drag racing series and thefirst professional drag-racing activity this year at the facility. The Pacific Street Car Association (www.PSCAracing.com) is famous for its heads-up, first-car-to-the-finish-line-wins style of“doorslammer” drag racing at speeds in excess of 240 miles per hour.

 Spectator gates will open at 9 a.m. on Sunday for eliminations. Eliminations will start at 10:30 a.m. Sunday adult admission is $20 and $6 for kids ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.

Friday, Jan. 31

10 a.m.-6 p.m. – Gates, credential sales and pit parking open.

11 a.m.-6 p.m. – Tech inspection.

1-6 p.m. – Test ‘n’ Tune.

Saturday, Feb. 1

7 a.m.-5 p.m. – Gates, credential sales and pit parking open.

7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. – Tech inspection.

8 a.m. – Spectator ticket sales and ticket gates open.

8 a.m.-9 a.m. – Jr. Dragster time trials (2 runs).

9 a.m.-6 p.m. – PSCA time trials and qualifying.

10:30 a.m. – First professional test session.

10:50 a.m. – Grudge matches.

11 a.m. – First PSCA Heads-Up qualifying session.

1:30 p.m. – Second professional test session.

1:50 p.m. – Grudge matches.

2 p.m. – Second PSCA Heads-Up qualifying session.

2:30 p.m. – Jr. Dragster time trial.

4 p.m. – Third professional test session.

4:20 p.m. – Grudge matches.

4:30 p.m. – Third PSCA Heads-Up qualifying session.

6 p.m. – Track closed.

Sunday, Feb. 2

8 a.m. – Racer gates open.

8:30 a.m. – RFC chapel service.

9 a.m. – Spectator ticket sales and ticket gates open.

9 a.m. – Jr. Dragster Qualifier.

9:15 a.m. – Mandatory drivers’ meeting.

9:30 a.m. – Jr. Dragster eliminations.

10 a.m. – Bracket 1 and Street Muscle time trials.

10:30 a.m. – PSCA eliminations.

11 a.m. – First professional test session.

11:20 a.m. – Grudge matches.

11:30 a.m. – PSCA Pro eliminations.

1 p.m. – Second professional test session.

1:15 p.m. – PSCA Pro eliminations.

1:20 p.m. – Grudge matches.

3 p.m. – PSCA Pro eliminations.

4 p.m. – Jr. Dragster final-round eliminations.

4:15 p.m. – Third professional test session.

4:40 p.m. – Grudge matches.

5 p.m. – All final-round eliminations.

5:30 p.m. – Track closed.

Spectator tickets: The LVMS ticket office will sell spectator tickets for admission on Saturday and Sunday only.  Anyone desiring access to the facility on Friday must purchase a weekend crew credential. 

Adult weekend (valid Saturday and Sunday): $40.

Adult Saturday: $20.

Adult Sunday: $20.

Kids (6-12) weekend:     $10.

Kids (6-12) single day: $6.

Kids 5 and under: Free.
