Seating is on a first-come, first-served
basis. The
NATIVITY is a 25-minute performance that follows the Biblical account of the
birth of Jesus Christ as told by the apostles in the New Testament. Scenes from
the production include: Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem , the
ministering of angels and the journey made by the Three Kings to the stable.
The
NATIVITY began as a small production in a church parking lot more than 20 years
ago, and has grown to include more than 350 volunteers and 15,000 attendees
last year. The cast includes: actors from a baby to 60-year-olds, musicians,
set-designers, lighting directors, wardrobe stylists, and donkeys, sheep and
goats – all helping to bring the story of Christmas to life.
A
companion Creche Display, featuring a variety of nativity displays, and other
holiday items will be adjacent to the stage and bleachers, and strolling
musicians will entertain prior to each performance.
The
not-for-profit production of The NATIVITY is presented by members of the Red
Rock Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
