Openers
Beau Hodges Band got things kicking on Friday night, but headliner Dierks
Bentley sealed the deal with a rowdy show at The Pearl Concert Theater inside
Palms Casino Resorts. Performing songs from his new release Riser, as well as
past releases, Bentley belted out tunes including “Tip It On Back,” “Come a
Little Closer,” “Lot of Leavin’ Left To Do,” “5-1-5-0” and “Free and Easy.”
During
an instrumental performance, Bentley pulled a girl on stage and took a seat on
his drum riser to drink a beer while she danced and played air guitar. Not one
to back down from a party, Bentley spotted some folks with an Arizona flag
waving proudly (Bentley used to live in Phoenix) and told the crowed he wanted
to party with the group after the show. Ladies were beside themselves
throughout the night, taking off their bras and throwing them to the stage
where Bentley proudly layered them on his mic stand. What happens in Vegas…

ABOUT
DIERKS BENTLEY:
Probably
no other artist on country radio in the past 10 years could manage Dierks
Bentley’s kind of range and versatility. Especially when one considers the
broader record: He’s had 10 No. 1 singles and written every one of them. He’s
performed at Lollapalooza, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Bonnaroo and the
CMA Music Festival, tailoring his sets to each. His instantly recognizable
voice and acoustic/electric hybrid sound have propelled him to membership in
the Grand Ole Opry and, in 2011, a performance for the President at the White
House. All made possible by his devotion to developing all sides of his
musicianship.
He
has forged his own artistic path in an industry built predominantly on formula,
mixing elements of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock, while
maintaining an unmistakable identity – constantly reinventing his sound. His
album Home (2012) debuted at No. 1 and spawned three consecutive chart-topping
hits. His five previous studio albums have sold more than five million copies
and have garnered 11 GRAMMY nominations. Bentley most recently released “I Hold
On” as the lead single off his upcoming album Riser.
