Shakespeare Institute Of NV Offers Affordable Acting Workshops!

The newly formed nonprofit organization, The Shakespeare Institute of Nevada, has recently launched a series of affordable acting workshops for Southern Nevada residents. The Actor Workshops focus on teaching students to try new material and prepare audition pieces, while receiving feedback from professional actors and directors. The mission of the workshop is to provide a place for aspiring, as well as veteran actors to learn new acting techniques, vocal and breathing exercises, and equip students with the tools of success for the industry.

Seasoned actress Jenn Bemis, who has performed in numerous productions in the USA, UK and Denmark, leads the Workshops. Bemis most recently directed and taught Shakespeare in Bali at the Institute Seni Indonesia and at the World Arts Festival.  The author of the highly regarded text on scriptwriting entitled “Anatomy of a Screenplay” and nationally recognized authority on Shakespeare, Dan Decker, serves as the Executive Director of the Shakespeare Institute.

MORE INFORMATION: The Actor Workshops fee is $80 for 10 classes. The first class is free to audit. For further information and to register, email ShakesInstNV@gmail.com, or call (702) 896-9517.
The Shakespeare Institute of Nevada also facilitates a Clark County School district outreach program and delivers scenes and actor interaction to hundreds of school students. Actors, directors and company members donate their time to help educate our local children about the wonders of theater and the genius of Shakespeare.

The Actor Workshops are suitable for actors of all ages and all levels to participate.
