Michael
Foulkrod calls the phenomenon the Pre-Blade Runner Era:
“What
started out just trying to be better painter doing portraits turned into the
emerging growing expression of a generation.”
“When
I find someone to paint it is all about the moment they are bringing to me, how
they want to be painted and/or what we find together. I go between alla prima
to lengthy hours to whatever the painting needs to go. ”
“I
usually paint two portraits of my models and give one to them so that the
painting will travel through the family into the future looking back as to who
they where today.”
