The
Las Vegas Philharmonic is encouraging people who want to attend its new 4th
WITH THE PHIL event at The Smith Center that includes a Pops Concert in
Reynolds Hall, a Family Fun Day in Symphony Park and fireworks over the park to
secure tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on July 4th should the park
and hall reach capacity.
While
there are still plenty of tickets to all 4th WITH THE PHIL events available,
capacity will be set at around 2,000 people for Symphony Park. All concert tickets include admission to the
park and so purchasing tickets now will mean you can secure a place on the
lawn. Gate sales to Symphony Park and
concert tickets will only be available on July 4th if capacity is not reached.
4th
WITH THE PHIL Ticket Options
The
Pops Concert tickets are priced at $25, $50 & $75. These tickets also include admission into
Symphony Park from 4PM, meaning concertgoers can visit the park, partake in the
outdoor activities and entertainment, purchase food and beverages and enjoy the
Fourth of July family atmosphere before the 7:30PM concert held inside Reynolds
Hall using the one ticket. There is also
a $125 VIP concert ticket that includes a box tier or parterre seat at the
concert and access to an exclusive pre-concert BBQ held in The Smith Center
courtyard adjacent to Reynolds Hall. As
with all tickets, admission into Symphony Park is included.
The
Pops Concert features the Las Vegas Philharmonic conducted by Matt Catingub,
who will also perform and sing, with special guest artists Clint Holmes and
Kristen Hertzenberg and drummer Steve Moretti.
The program includes patriotic favorites such as God Bless America,
Stars & Stripes Forever, America the Beautiful alongside pops medleys and
songs. Rousing orchestral arrangements,
including excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Sousa marches, will
accompany the fireworks display. The
concert will open with Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen 2012 Ellie Smith, also
known as “the Star-Spangled Girl” from her appearances at high-profile sporting
events nationwide, leading a performance of the Star-Spangled Banner.
For
people who want to have an outdoor experience, tickets for Symphony Park are
$10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The park will open at 4PM and feature live
entertainment on the outdoor stage by local artists performing a range of
cultural and Americana-style music including bluegrass, Cajun and Hawaiian
music. At 7:30PM, live audio from the
Las Vegas Philharmonic concert will be broadcast into the park.
The
Smith Center’s Boman Pavilion lobby will be open throughout the day as a
cooling station and bottled water is permitted to be brought into the
park. (Other food and beverages will not
be permitted.)
Watching
the Fireworks
At 9PM there will be a 4th WITH THE
PHIL fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks.
The concert program will pause to give the people inside Reynolds Hall
the opportunity to leave the hall and watch the display outdoors. The fireworks, which will be accompanied by
live music audio simulcast into the park, will be video simulcast into Reynolds
Hall.
DISCOVERY
Children’s Museum Free Entry
As an
added attraction, DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, which is situated adjacent to
The Smith Center, will re-open on July 4th from 5:30PM-7:30PM with free
admission to 4th WITH THE PHIL attendees.
After-hours entry to DISCOVERY will be on a first-come, first-served
basis until capacity is reached. The
museum will have special Fourth of July-themed programming throughout the day.
Food
& Beverages
A
variety of July 4th traditional favorites will be available to purchase
throughout the day including hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, ice cream, beer,
wine, soda and water amongst other offerings.
All purchases will be cash-only with ATMs provided on site. The lobby bars will be open in Reynolds Hall
for concertgoers. Unlike previous Las
Vegas Philharmonic outdoor picnic events, no outside food or beverages except
bottled water will be permitted. A
portion of the proceeds from food and beverage sales will go towards supporting
the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the presenter of 4TH WITH THE PHIL, to help to
secure the event as a permanent fixture for the community in the future.
VIP
concert ticket holders will have access to an exclusive pre-concert BBQ held in
the courtyard from 6PM featuring a specially-created Fourth of July menu and
complimentary cocktail. VIP tickets are
$125 and include a box tier or parterre box seat to the Pops Concert in Reynolds
Hall. As with all of the concert
tickets, admission into Symphony Park is included.
