This
Saturday, December 8 it’s time to recognize an under appreciated class as Sailor
Jerry Spiced Rum celebrates Bartender Appreciation Day. An integral part of a good night out,
bartenders have to be part crafts-person part showman, part diplomat all while
working some rough hours and giving up their weekends for patrons to enjoy
theirs.
Norman
“Sailor Jerry” Collins worked tirelessly perfecting his craft earning him the
title “the father of old school tattoo” and through his work ethic and dedication
provided him this recognition; Sailor Jerry has always acknowledged people who
do the same and in this instance, bartenders.
Throughout
the country and in Nevada, Sailor Jerry encourages anyone ordering a drink from
a bartender this Saturday, December 8 to raise a glass and leave a big tip in
their honor.
There
are also a few simple rules to remember to help bartenders out and get drinks
faster. From actual bartenders:
§ In a group, order together. Don’t make us do
laps
§ Say please and thank you, it makes
everything go down easier
§ Be ready to pay, someone else is probably
behind you
Sailor
Jerry Spiced Rum is committed to getting Bartender Appreciation Day to be
recognized around the country as an actual day supporting local
bartenders. Please visit

show support for the many who pour drinks and contribute to a fun night out.
