This
holiday season, non-profit organization In12Days will bring 12 days of
inspiring gifts to rekindle joy and hope in the hearts of four underprivileged
students and their families. Gifts such as scholarships, family vacations and
private concerts will pop out of unexpected places for these deserving children
beginning Dec. 6.
“Having
been through a difficult time during the holidays after losing my husband, I
was fortunate enough to have friends who anonymously gave me 12 days of
thoughtful gifts that lifted my family’s spirit,” said Suzanne Lea, founder of
In12Days. “Not only are we aiming to help students and families in need, we
also want to bring holiday joy and impactful gifts that inspire hope and
happiness.”
Following
a heartwarming 2011 that benefited five families and organizations, 2012 will
focus on children’s educational needs across Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder
City. Recipients of this year’s gifts are four future students of DJ’s
Community Christian Academy in Henderson, NV, The Alexander Dawson School at
Rainbow Mountain, Mountain View Christian School and Edward W. Clark High

About
In12Days
In
the spring of 2008, founder Suzanne Lea's husband Bryan died suddenly of a
heart attack. Nine months after his passing, Lea and her sons received the gift
of “12 Days of Christmas,” based on the popular holiday song, from anonymous
church friends, moving the family from devastation to a euphoria so profound
that it changed their lives forever. To pay it forward, the Leas created
In12Days to share the joy they felt and deliver two weeks of life-changing
gifts to those in need of inspiration. The organization seeks to rekindle hope
in the hearts of those who are struggling at any time of year, but especially
those suffering during the holiday season.
