In May of 2011 Caesars Entertainment’s Las Vegas resorts debuted the exclusive $1 Million 6 Card Bonus™ side bet for Three Card Poker.  After a popular start the side bet was introduced at Caesars Entertainment’s Atlantic City resorts only four months later. In just over a year, six guests have become instant millionaires with a total initial wager as small as $15 by hitting a Super Royal Flush in Diamonds: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. In line with analysts’ initial estimations, six winners became instant millionaires in two locations in the first year with two, million dollar hands hitting in Las Vegas and four in Atlantic City.

The first millionaire was crowned at Harrah’s Atlantic City the evening of Oct. 23, 2011. Harrah’s Atlantic City was also home to the second million dollar prize shortly after midnight on Dec. 18. Both winners chose to remain anonymous.

Las Vegas joined in the festivities when Johnita Ejercito, a practicing attorney and nurse from Woodland Hills, Calif., hit the 6 Card Bonus $1 million jackpot at Paris Las Vegas in the early morning hours of Feb. 19. Ejercito said she plans to use the money to send her two daughters to London to get their Masters in Economics. Las Vegas’ second winner, and Caesars Entertainment’s fourth winner, arrived courtesy of Flamingo Las Vegas.  The winner was Dennis Hart, a retired Ford factory worker visiting from Palm Coast, Fla. with his wife and daughter.  Late evening on May 11 Hart won the $1 million grand prize and quickly shared his good fortune, giving each of his three fellow players a $500 chip and generously tipping his dealer $20,000.

The fifth and sixth wins occurred less than a week apart at Caesars Atlantic City.  The first of the set was awarded June 11 and the sixth on June 17. Kathy Wayda, the sixth winner, returned to work in Southgate, Mich. after winning her million dollars and plans to put her windfall toward retirement and the future of her only child.
