El
Cortez hosts the monthly Vegas StrEATs food-truck, arts and music festival on
the Jackie Gaughan Parkway from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 14. Many of
Las Vegas’ favorite food trucks participate in Vegas StrEATs each month along

Parlour Offers New Dining Menu
El
Cortez has launched a new late-night dining menu exclusively available at The
Parlour from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. every night.
- Pulled Pork Slider, $9 Slow-braised pork shoulder served on a dollar roll with Creole mayo
- Barbecue Chicken Slider, $9 Served with fresh cole slaw and Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce
- Parlour Melt, $9 Grilled hamburger patty with Swiss cheese and grilled onions served on a dollar roll
- Grilled Shrimp, $11 Fresh, grilled Gulf shrimp served with a spicy teriyaki sauce

Cortez Vintage Dining & Cocktail Menus
Due
to popular demand, The Flame Steakhouse will continue serving selected items
from the vintage dining and cocktail menus in 2012. The menus, created in 2011 to honor the
property’s 70th anniversary, dust off Las Vegas’ old recipe books and
reintroduce a few classic favorites. These iconic dishes will be available at
the Flame Steakhouse every Tuesday through Thursday.

Cocktail Menu
The
vintage cocktail menu will be served at The Parlour, located on El Cortez’s
casino floor. This menu celebrates the history of mixology by educating guests
on the origins of classic cocktails while offering a chance for them to enjoy
their favorites. The menu includes cocktails such as the side car, which
originated in the 1920s during World War I; the mint julep, which originated in
the 1700s and is one of the country’s oldest cocktails; the blood and sand, a
drink from the 1930 premiere of a Rudolph Valentino film; the aviation, a drink
created in the 1910s by the head bartender at the Hotel Wallick in New York,
and many more.

Café Cortez for prime rib dinner for only $7.95. Meal includes choice of soup or salad. Try

Cortez players have an opportunity every week to win $500, $300, $200 or $100
in promotional chips. There will two
$100 prizes offered in total for fourth and fifth place. During the week, entry tickets in the
drawing can be earned during blackjack, roulette and baccarat. During blackjack, tickets are distributed to
players when the dealer receives a blackjack, during roulette, tickets are
distributed to players when a 0 or 00 is hit, and during baccarat, players
receive a ticket every time a “tie” hand is dealt. Double tickets will be given to players every
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Players
can only win one prize per drawing.
There is no limit to the number of entries a player may submit. Winners are drawn every Saturday at 12
p.m. Winners have two minutes to redeem
