Nevada’s
oldest and largest credit union is raising awareness about identity theft while
giving back to the community by hosting a free, community-wide shred event.
The
Drive Up & Drop Off Community Shred Day will be held on Friday July 13 from
12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Ft. Apache branch located at 9320 W. Flamingo Road #
1, Las Vegas, NV, 89147. Assured Document Destruction will be on-site to safely
and properly dispose of personal paper documents. In addition, One Nevada has
partnered with the local eatery Northside Nathan’s, located next doorto the
credit union, to provide a discount to those who drop off documents for
shredding.
One
Nevada Credit Union strives to protect confidential information of not only its
members, but also the members of the community. This free event also helps save
participants money in a still troubled economy. Instead of paying about $.75
per pound for a shredding service, some rip up and throw away their
confidential documents while compromising their identity.
One
Nevada Branch Manager Linda Collins comments, “We are excited for
theopportunity to host this shred event for not just our members, but also for
the community of Las Vegas as a whole. The best way to prevent identity theft
is by properly disposing of your personal and confidential documents and that
is what we are providing with this event.”
