With a
mix of Mexican culture and Vegas flair, Executive Chef Saul Ortiz will stir up
an authentic Mariachi Brunch for Easter Sunday at Tacos and Tequila (T&T)
on Sunday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Luxor Hotel and Casino. In true Mexican style, a high-energy Mariachi
band will spice up the fiesta as they serenade guests.
The
menu offers a wide selection of egg combinations including Huevos Rancheros
made with ranchero sauce, black bean puree and two eggs, any style, all served
on a corn tortilla and priced at $13. Guests also will enjoy Huevos Con
Chorizo, a Mexican spiced sausage with scrambled eggs, potatoes and salsa verde
served on a warm flour tortilla priced at $11. Chef Ortiz’ specialty,
Chilaquiles, a flavorful mix of marinated chicken, red or green sauce, Panela
cheese, crema fresca and onion served on a crispy flour tortilla priced at $14,
is a mouth-watering selection guests won’t want to miss.
In
addition to breakfast items, guests may complement their meals with two for one
T&T Top Shelf House Margaritas made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and
Grand Marnier served on the rocks, as well as Bloody Marias, T&T’s Mexican
twist on the cocktail. The Bloody Maria is made with Jose Cuervo Especial
Tequila, Chipotle Tabasco, fresh cucumber and olive juice that’s served with a
green olive, Panela cheese and tomato skewer in a Gusanos salted rim glass.
For a
delicious Easter treat, diners will enjoy the “Chocolate Bunny,” a specialty
drink made with Patron XO Cade Dark Chocolate, Stoli Vanilla, Crème de Cocoa
Dark and Aztec chocolate bitters.
Named
one of the best tequila bars of 2011 in America by USA Today, Tacos &
Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating
traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. The color mixture of
old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather,
bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its
abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of
laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons.
Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of
the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail
store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
