In
honor of Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday celebration in Las Vegas, visit the
Martin Lawrence Galleries located inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. Fans of the legendary boxer and art
aficionados will find that the gallery is home to a trio of Ali images by famed
artist, Andy Warhol.
Among
the biggest privately-owned art galleries in the world, the new Martin Lawrence
Galleries inside The Forum Shops has more than 26,000 square feet of gallery,
exhibition and event space. From Rembrant to Picasso to Warhol and Chagall,
Martin Lawrence Galleries brings Pop art, Modern art and the Masters to The
Forum Shops at Caesars.
Legendary
boxer Muhammad Ali is immortalized into pop culture by artist, Andy
Warhol. This silk-screened image
(acrylic on canvas) of Ali’s profile is part of a series called "The Ten
Greatest Athletes," commissioned by Frederick R. Weisman in the late 1970s.
“Do I
look fearless?” Ali rumbled. “Very fearless,” Warhol replied. Ali poses with his fist directly under his
chin, staring straight into the viewer’s eyes.
