DJ/Drummer
duo STIX & HALO's put on a rare joint performance at Chateau Nightclub
inside Paris Las Vegas Friday, Feb. 10.The duo, who are well known individually
in the music circuit, came together for a special performance in celebration of
a friend's birthday.
DJ
and entertainer Nicholas Demps, better known as The World Famous N.I.C., is
best known for DJing on the Los Angeles radio station KHLJ 102.3, at some of
Hollywood's premiere venues and as a featured DJ in national commercials for
McDonalds and Sunkist. He paired up with talented percussionist and celebrity
drummer to legendary Rapper Jay-Z, Tony Royster Jr., under the name STIX &
HALO's. The unique pair took over Chateau Nightclub and kept the party going
all night long. Both the DJ and drummer have made their print in the music
scene, but have proven to be multi-facitated as entertainers.
The
World Famous N.I.C. not only has become a reputable DJ across the globe, but
has been featured in roles on television shows including "Moesha,"
"The Parkers," "General Hospital" and "All About Us"
to name a few. He is also contracted to B.M.I. and has composed songs for the
television series "City of Angeles" and "Passions."

Celebrity
drummer, Tony Royster Jr. was voted "#1 Up and Coming Drummer" by
Modern Drummer Magazine in 2000 and has graced the stage with legendary
musician's such as Sheila E, Branford Marsalis, Paul Shaffer, Jimmy Jam and
Terry Lewis, among others. He has appeared on the cover of the millennium issue
of Modern Drummer Magazine with Dennis Chambers and continues to receive high
marks that have earned him multiple endorsements. Royster's talent was honored
and cementend as a true musician when he walked away with the "Louis
Armstrong Jazz Award" for outstanding achievement a few years ago.
The
duo graced the nightclub's DJ booth just as the venue was getting packed. Right
away they commanded the crowds attention and their hard hitting sound proved to
be a hit as guests danced, sang and took photos through the entire set. DJ
World Famous N.I.C. continued to spin Top 40 mash-ups while Royster banged out
the beats on the percussion as club-goers continued to party throughout the
entire evening.

Later
in the evening, UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and some of his
close friends posted up in the VIP area, overlooking the dance floor, while they enjoyed the live set and partied
the night away.
