Two more chances to get your WING on! Wing Bowl 3!

Wing Bowl 3 is upon us and we’re taking qualifiers to compete for $5,000.00 in cash.  Join us at “Wing Off’s” at four different locations starting on January 11 from 6-8pm and on every subsequent Wednesday from 5-8pm through February 2 at the below locations.  “Wing Off’s” will entail people eating as many wings as they can in a five-minute time period where at each weekly event you can qualify for our final Wing Bowl. We will also hold a special “Wing Off” at Ford Country in the Valley Auto Mall on January 28 from 12-2pm to select additional qualifiers. The contestants with the best times will be invited to Wing Bowl 3 on Friday February 3 from 7-10pm at South Point Showroom on 9777 South Las Vegas Boulevard, and at that time we will crown the Wing Bowl 3 Champion with a $5,000.00 CASH prize and a beautiful custom Wing Bowl Championship belt!

Wing Bowl started as an annual eating contest founded in 1993 by Philadelphia all-sports radio WIP-AM, a CBS sister station, as a celebration of gluttony.  About 150 people attended WIP’s Wing Bowl 1 in 1993 to see a competition between two contestants. WIP’s Wing Bowl is traditionally held on the Friday preceding the Super Bowl and is currently held at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center, where it is still broadcast live on WIP.  WIP’s Wing Bowl now draws crowds of 20,000 people or more!

Wing Bowl 3 will have X107.5, KXNT 100.5 FM, and 98.5 KLUC act as commissioners of the contest.  Contestants must be 21+ and our commissioners will make sure contestants clean the bones thoroughly per our brutal and curiously strong contest rules.  With our “Chicken” mascot and the Ministers of Hospitality tending to everyone’s needs at our events it looks like 2012 will not be the year of the Dragon but the year of the Chicken! Although we do realize how awesome Dragons are.
