Fund Raiser Coming Up For Elann Saula With Music CD By Cirque Artist Sami Saula

A concert and fundraising event is planned on Friday May 22, 2015 by Cirque du Soleil performing artist and musician Sami Saula. The special event is a heartwarming gathering aimed at helping Saula and his wife, Leslie, raise funds to pay for their son’s extensive medical bills.

Four-year-old Elann Saula was born with hypogammaglobulinemia (Hypo-gamma-globu-li-nemia), a disorder in which the body creates a level of antibodies too low to sustain a normal immune system.  As a result, Elann must go for monthly, six-hour infusions to help his body fight viruses, toxins and bacteria. He will need these infusions for several more years before doctors can determine if he can ever survive without them.

The family has never asked for a handout. Instead they are offering the artistry of Sami Saula’s immense musical talents in exchange for support of the fundraising event and sale of his CD.  Music has been an incredible inspiration for the family and an escape when times were tough. They’ve received the support of many in the Cirque “family” as well as Larry and Barbara Domsky who are providing the venue for the fundraising event as well as a live glassblowing demonstration.  This is the Saula’s way of giving back some of what has been provided to them.

Sami Saula, who performs as a musician in “Ka”, has released a CD of world music titled “Awaken.”  It is also available for purchase at www.samisaula.com.

The family has done what it can to pay its own medical expenses. Medical costs have already exceeded $1,000,000, the majority of which was covered by medical insurance provided to Sami through Cirque du Soleil.  Sami Saula is permitted to work in the United States under a work visa. But he does not have a “green card” establishing full residency at this time. That could take years and will take thousands of dollars as well. Without a green card for Sami, Leslie is not legally allowed to work full time in the United States.

“Awaken .. A Story Beyond Words” concert and fundraiser; live glass blowing demonstration, raffle, bidding opportunities!

Domsky Glass Studio
2758 S. Highland Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada
7 p.m.

Who Needs Couple Therapy? Just See "Defending The Caveman!"

We all know that as men and women we are different. However just how different are we? Do you ever find yourself frustrated by your partner’s lackadaisical approach to life, housework and just things in general?  By attending “Defending The Caveman” you will see how both men and women think and why we are sometimes entirely frustrated with each other.  Why spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars in therapy when you and your significant other can spend an hour and a half and spend $38.45, or $49.45 or $65.95 and laugh your way through your communication difficulties?

It really is quite simple according to the Star of “Defending The Cavemen” Kevin Burke; men are hunters and women are gatherers. Men are wired to focus on one task at a time, which by the way sounds just about right, focus, complete and then press STOP. Then RELAX. Where women are the gatherers meaning that we go out and do several things at once, keep track of our surroundings and bring information home. In other words, we multi-task! Plus we do share our feelings where as men are a tad less forthcoming on how they feel.

Kevin Burke dissects the differences between the sexes with a keen wit and with his every-man approach he has a wide appeal to the audience.  Be sure and see this hilarious show with your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend and see for yourself how much you will relate to how Kevin “The Caveman” tackles the communication, behaviors that make us tick!   Then let us know what problems you had solved or understood better after the show!

If You Support The Animal Foundation...This is What You Are SUPPORTING!

People of Las Vegas,,,,,if you are donating money and time and services to the Animal Foundation a lot of your money is going not to help all animals only to help those that they deem are fit for adoptions. I would like to know why a 9 year old Chihuahua that needs a dental and is obese cannot be saved!! AND YET...they claim to not have a full time veterinarian on premises and cannot do a dental!!!!

"The Animal Foundation is contracted by Clark County and the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas for more than $4 million annually to manage all the critters picked up by animal control officers. Lied gets about 100 to 120 animals daily, from animal control, owners surrendering their pets—either for adoption or euthanasia—and good Samaritans turning in strays (mostly cats and dogs, but occasionally chickens, snakes, rats, hamsters, peacocks and desert tortoises)." http://lasvegasweekly.com/…/no-kill-dilemma-can-las-vegas…/…. YET YESTERDAY THEY HAD 154 dogs total on their website. WHY because they KILL them...yes KILL them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YET they have the power of God over these animals that they do not want to spend any money on fixing. Thru the goodness of people I have found four of the six Chihuahuas that were turned in, well their chances look very slim because they are RESCUE ONLY!!

What does that mean?? That means that The Animal Foundation who yesterday auctioned off dogs for "charity" WILL not spend any money to help these animals become healthy. If a non-profit (BECAUSE THE ANIMAL FOUNDATION) is all about profit could pull them they would have to provide:

1. Pull fees
2. Medical costs
3. Fosters

This would take hundreds of dollars and most NON-PROFIT organizations do not have that kind of money. They are operating on a shoe string budget yet they strive to care for the older, sicker animals. YOU Animal Foundation are guilty of heinous crimes against animals and nature. YOU do not care about taking care of sicker, older dogs JUST LIKE OUR SOCIETY you are run by bigger business and all they care about is $$$$. AND THEN to have me call and inquire about these little guys and was told on the phone that they were going into RESCUE and that they would have their medical taken care of. THAT is a LIE!!! Guilty guilty of lying, deceiving the public and putting $$$ before the care and well being of those innocent lives that you are SUPPOSED to protect. If I had money I would of rescued them but that is not the case.

So be forewarned all of those that support the Animal Foundation you can not like me or whatever but I will NEVER EVER EVER support them or anyone that supports them. THESE 4 chihuahuas will most likely be put down and I could safely bet that he other two already have been put down.
So Chris Robinson enjoy your FAT SALARY and your job and those of you that raise money for this organization know if you read this you know that there is innocent blood on your hands. When you become aware of evil and yes this is EVIL being done it is up to us to expose the evil doers yet for some reason people do not care....it is the Public Relations and the Celebrities that support this house of death that perpetuate the "good nature" of what goes on there. WAKE UP...support local rescues, support the NSPCA, support FUPI....charity is to be done from the goodness of your heart and to be not self-serving. Just keep that in mind.

And keep in mind that while you all who work at The Animal Foundation (Management/Fundraisers and those that know the truth) might enjoy good health just hope that no one ever has to make the decision to keep you alive due to being overweight and old and sick.

Your Help Is Needed!!! Please Save These Six Chihuahuas In Las Vegas!

An OPEN Letter the Animal Foundation
655 N Mojave Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89101
(702) 384-3333

I was texted yesterday about six Chihuahuas that the elderly lady that was taking care of them could not take care of them anymore. She has to have a hip operation and does not have any family. She somehow made it to The Animal Foundation where she turned them in for a total of $60. I mentioned this on your FB page and on mine. Let's do a social experiment. YOUR Chris Robinson claims that she wants to do more marketing, get more animals adopted....let's see what you do for these little Chihuahuas. How much effort will you put into finding them homes since they are not young, not puppies. They were turned in yesterday before 2 pm and I checked and they were not on the website today. Will be checking and documenting when they are put up.....how many tweets will be devoted to these little guys, where is your Instagram account?? Let's see if you are truly truly wanting to do a better job. Everyone please feel free to check their website for Chico, Shila, Princess, Benji, Junior and Camelot. Here is their twitter account - twitter.com/animalfndlv and here is their website - animalfoundation.com/. We shall see if you are truly wanting to be a BETTER community
partner.

For a little bit of history...The Animal Foundation here in Las Vegas has been under close scrutiny for how quickly they euthanize animals rather than network/market them to try and find homes for the older, special needs, senior pets. I personally have been involved in an instance that broke my heart that there was a Gentleman that turned in a 9 year old Pomeranian and they euthanized him within 24 hours. Without networking him or even giving him a chance to find a home. They claim to try and save animals well we will see what chance they give these poor little six Chihuahuas. PLEASE feel fee to call, write on their FB page, tweet them and ask for these little dogs to be given a fair chance to find a good home.  READ THE GOOGLE REVIEWS. Unfortunately if there is not a public outpouring these little dogs do not stand much of a chance.
