Launching his partnership with the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist and Las Vegas headliner Carlos Santana today joined Andre Agassi for a tour of the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, meeting with children and offering his support. Santana is encouraging public donations through video messaging during his live performances of Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits this month. Santana’s high-energy rock fusion show is currently playing exclusively at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
From now until February 21, audience members at Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits can donate to the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education in increments of $5 via text message. Concertgoers will be prompted to text the word “Kids” to 20222 in order to make a contribution. Messaging and data rates may apply and a one-time $5 donation is charged to the user’s wireless bill. The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education can receive donations through March 31via text or at any time through their web site at agassifoundation.org.

During his visit, Santana interacted with students from the Academy as well as select students from Cheyenne, Legacy, Mojave and Sunrise Mountain High Schools, imparting his wisdom during a joint inspirational address with his friend Andre Agassi. In collaboration with Santana’s visit to the school, and continuing in the spirit of supporting The Milagro Foundation, longtime licensees of Carlos Santana, PRS Guitars and Latin Percussion (LP) donated a PRS Santana SE electric guitar and a set of LP Santana Aspire series congas and shakers to the Academy’s music department. Like Carlos, both PRS and LP have enthusiastically partnered with local agencies and community organizations to inspire young musicians. Also, Sony Legacy Recordings who are releasing the 10th Anniversary edition of "Supernatural" have donated 700 copies of the most honored CD in Grammy History, Supernatural, to every student and faculty member in the school.
Carlos Santana’s Milagro Foundation is committed to assisting projects, schools and agencies that are working to support underserved children in developing college aspirations. Agassi Prep continues to achieve this goal with 100 percent high school graduation and college acceptance. “We applaud their efforts and are proud to be a part of this dream for the children of Las Vegas,” Shelley Brown, Executive Director, said. Yesterday was the biggest betting day in Las Vegas and one of the most party heavy days! All over town fans were taking sides on whether it would be the Saints or the Colts?? I decided to spend the game day at Murphy's Law which is on Maryland Pkwy. and Flamingo. What a fun place!! The bar was rocking the beer was flowing and many hot dogs and hamburgers were consumed! For the first time I decided to take a little side risk and try an Irish Car Bomb..wow!! Yummy..definitely a drink to indulge in once in a while! One of the great things about Murpy's is not only are they a Jameson outlet they have a platter that has regular Jameson, 12 year old, and the KING 18 year old Jameson. If you are a fan try this..it is only $20! Food is served in a separate room and items on the menu are named after famous Irish people! Ie....
