Now OPEN Soft Surroundings! An Amazing Fun Store With Everything For Women

There is a new store in the District and it is pretty amazing! Soft Surroundings opened their doors for business earlier this year. Being a long time favorite of online shoppers the ladies that came out to take a look at the store were overjoyed to see their favorite items displayed in the store. Since being founded in 1999 the store has striven to provide women with high quality products to help them relax and surround themselves with beautiful items.

Soft Surroundings has so many luxurious items for all different types of women. From soft cotton tees to gorgeous colored cover ups or maybe you would like to  create a more inviting and relaxing bedroom. Or maybe you want to revamp your skin regime or find a new favorite color of lipstick. Guess what, all of these items and more are available once you cross the threshold of Soft Surroundings. Whimsical items are also on display such as fun books as “Sorry I Pooped in Your Shoe” or for cat lovers “Sorry I Barked On Our Bed.” FUN!

The makeup line has everything anyone could or would ever want. Do you need a consistent self tanner?  Maybe you would like to masque your Decolletage? Perhaps you are in need of a new moisturizer or a new make-up brush? That’s correct, all at Soft Surroundings. One of facial products that you must try is the Cailyn Mummy Whipping Bubble Cleansing Mask. It is a easy to use; a microfiber sheet mask that percolates with tiny oxygenated bubbles to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize in one step. Consider it a wake-up call for dry, tired skin. Another favorite product is the Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm. This balm turns into a milky toner upon contact with water and will gently cleanse your skin while melting away your make-up. The Bee Venom works to plump fine lines and wrinkles and firms your skin. Almond, Jojoba and wheatgerm oil will soften your skin and the amino acids and salicylic acids will improve the appearance of uneven skin tones. (Not recommended for use by bee allergy sufferers.)

If you are looking for a gift or maybe for a little something for yourself, you are sure to find what you are looking for at Soft Surroundings! OH yes, they also have shoes and jewelry and perfume! Three of my favorite items!

The Name Will Be...Robert Irvine's Public House At Tropicana Las Vegas

Thursday evening, Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine surprised audience members at 'Robert Irvine LIVE' by revealing the name and concept of his newest Las Vegas restaurant Robert Irvine's Public House coming summer 2017 to Tropicana Las Vegas. Irvine's first foray into the Las Vegas culinary landscape will feature a one-of-a-kind food and entertainment experience. The all-new restaurant will offer a range of comfort food options inspired by Irvine's culinary travels from around the world - all in a pub-like atmosphere.

"Robert Irvine's Public House is all about the people! The all-new restaurant will be the perfect entertainment venue for locals and tourists alike featuring a pub environment, where guest are invited to congregate and enjoy great food and drinks," said Irvine. "Once you see the restaurant space, you will be wowed. I am really excited to be a part of the culinary landscape here in Las Vegas, and am honored to partner with Tropicana Las Vegas and Penn National Gaming."

'Robert Irvine LIVE' was a high-energy, multimedia, and multi-sensory theatrical experience inside The Tropicana Theater. Much like Irvine's hit television shows Dinner: Impossible and Restaurant: Impossible, the former British Navy cook walked into theater with no knowledge of what he was about to face. From cheek retractors to handcuffs, Irvine faced three cooking challenges brought on by the audience during the 120-minute live interactive show. Over 20 audience members were called to the stage to help, ambush and compete against the celebrity chef. In the end, Irvine successful made the impossible possible with three delectable dishes in a turnaround time of only 15 minutes each. In addition, Irvine also paid tribute to the men and women that serve the country. Over 100 military were graciously invited, courtesy of Irvine and Tropicana Las Vegas.

"Chef Robert Irvine is truly one-of-a-kind and we are thrilled to welcome Irvine into the Tropicana Las Vegas family," said Aaron Rosenthal, general manager of Tropicana Las Vegas. "With much anticipation, we are pleased to announce Tropicana Las Vegas' newest restaurant addition, Robert Irvine's Public House. This has been a very exciting chapter for the property, and we're excited to continue to create a premier destination in Las Vegas for our guests and beyond."

That afternoon Robert Irvine also visited Three Square Food Bank. There, he toured the facility with Chief Development Officer Michelle Beck and learned about Three Square's programs and helped to put meals together with other local volunteers.

In May of 2016, the Food Network chef announced that he would be teaming up with Tropicana Las Vegas to open his first restaurant concept on the Las Vegas Strip. By way of introduction, Irvine repelled 22 stories (220 feet) down the exterior of the hotel, greeting guests in true Robert Irvine-fashion.

NAB Attendees Can Add Monorail Fare To Badges

For the first time, NAB Show in Las Vegas will enable attendees to embed Monorail fare into their registration badges. NAB Show, to be held April 22 – 27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, represents just the most recent citywide tradeshow to embrace the new customer-service-enhancing technology in partnership with the Las Vegas Monorail. This brand-new, convenient option is being offered to NAB Show registrants who purchase Monorail tickets through registration. Ticket purchased through registration will be generated on attendees’ badges.  Throughout the show, attendees can also add additional Monorail tickets to their badge.

“This fare integration option is taking off among tradeshow planners and we’re thrilled to partner with NAB,” said Ingrid Reisman, vice president and chief marketing officer, Las Vegas Monorail. “It’s a win for planners, who are pleased to be able to offer their attendees a helpful amenity. Of course, it’s also a win for attendees, who can now simply scan their badge and board the Monorail traveling to or from the convention center.”

NAB Show attendees can add a 3-, 4- or 7-day unlimited ride Monorail pass to their badge at a discounted rate directly on the NAB Show registration site at www.nabshow.com.  The Monorail pass options are listed under “Elevate Your Experience,” directly below the show pass options and can be paid simultaneously.

“We are excited to offer this new option for our exhibitors and attendees,” said Chris Brown, EVP, Conventions and Business Operations, National Association of Broadcasters. “A large number of our registrants already use the Monorail to get around during NAB, and this provides an even more convenient way for them to do so.”

NAB Show registrants who don’t add on a Monorail ticket to their badge prior to the show will still have the option to do so at the remote badge pick-up locations throughout the city. Details on those locations are at www.nabshow.com/register-and-plan/registration-hours.
