Giving Back! Las Vegas Raider Darren Waller Hosts Youth Football Camp

Approximately 100 children from the city’s areas of greatest need, including but not limited to the Historic Westside and East Las Vegas, have been selected by the city of Las Vegas to participate in the camp that is hosted by Las Vegas Raider Tight End Darren Waller.  Waller is working with the city of Las Vegas Parks & Recreation staff and Palo Verde High School football coaches, John Isolla and Joe Aznarez, to develop and ensure a fun, educational and active football camp experience. 

 The camp is made possible by a donation from The Howard Hughes Corporation®, developer of the master-planned community of Summerlin® and its urban core of Downtown Summerlin®, to the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE, a vehicle for corporate and philanthropic partners to support innovative programs that improve quality of life for all Las Vegas residents with a special focus on vulnerable populations.

Yonutz, a two-time winner of “Dessert Wars,” the largest dessert festival in America, will open its first Las Vegas location with a smash on Friday, July 23. The first 50 people in line will receive a free SMASH Donut, Yonutz’s signature over-the-top donut-ice cream creation.
