Yonutz, a two-time winner of “Dessert Wars,” the largest dessert festival in America, will open its first Las Vegas location with a smash on Friday, July 23. The first 50 people in line will receive a free SMASH Donut, Yonutz’s signature over-the-top donut-ice cream creation. Attending guests will also have the chance to smash a piƱata to win free SMASH Donuts for a year as well as win Yonutz’s SMASH Cash.
“In Las Vegas you go big or go home, and that’s what Yonutz is all about,” said Jordan Leach, vice president of franchise development and a Las Vegas local. “I’m thrilled to bring the first Yonutz donut and ice cream shop to my fellow Las Vegas locals, who I know will be blown away by Yonutz’s treats, just as I have been.”
The grand opening celebration to commemorate Las Vegas’ first Yonutz, located in Centennial Hills at 5765 Centennial Center Blvd., will include plenty to entertain ice cream and donut lovers, featuring a DJ and face painter, plus a ceremonial ribbon cutting beginning at 10 a.m.
Founded in 2013, Yonutz was purchased by entrepreneur, Tony Bahu, who took the award-winning sweets nationwide. The creative franchise also caught the attention of Kevin Harrington, a former “Shark” from NBC’s hit show, “Shark Tank.”
“We’ve found a trusted partner in Jordan Leach to introduce Yonutz to Las Vegas,” said Bahu. “We look forward to becoming the favorite for locals to cool off over ice cream and satisfy their donut cravings.”
The fantastical 1,500-square-foot donut and ice cream shop will feature an array of Yonutz’s award-winning treats, including the Nutella Crunch SMASH Donut, a fluffy donut stuffed with cookie dough ice cream, smashed and hot-pressed, topped with Oreos, cereal crunch and Nutella drizzle; the Unicorn SMASH Donut, stuffed with candy ice cream, smashed and hot-pressed, topped with cotton candy bites and sparkly unicorn glitter; and the Birthday Cake SMASH Milkshake, prepared with birthday cake ice cream and ‘birthday Oreos,’ topped with a mini donut.
Other selections include SMASH ice cream deluxe cones, like the O-REE Yonutz in an Oreo cone; signature ice cream by the scoop; and dozens of mini and big donut creations, including the apple pie, big birthday, Boston cream, crunch berry bang deluxe, peanut butter and jelly, and more. A secret menu is available to those who join Yonutz’s free VIP club.
Yonutz also offers packages that will sweeten any party, including donut decorating kits, boxes of mini and big donuts, gender reveal donuts and SMASH ice cream pints. Yonutz will also bring their award-winning creations direct to your event, where donuts are made onsite.
Yonutz will be open from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
