Dirk Arthur's Wild Magic Show W/Big Cats Coming To Westgate Las Vegas Resort

With a thrilling array of spectacular illusions featuring majestic cats, Westgate Resorts announces a new show with master magician Dirk Arthur. Dirk Arthur Wild Magic, scheduled to debut at the International Westgate Theater inside Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Monday, August 24, is a fast-paced show that interweaves comedy with breathtaking big cat magic, beautiful dancers and large-scale illusions.

“Debuting Wild Magic and having the opportunity to perform with my cats on the same stage that Elvis once did is a dream come true for me in Las Vegas,” said Arthur. “I’m excited to unveil electrifying new illusions and share the experience with guests of all ages at Westgate Las Vegas!”

Arthur has long been a leading advocate for the preservation of endangered species and for the humane and proper care of all animals. During the show, audiences will experience Arthur’s love for his animals as they are treated with the utmost respect and gentleness. Arthur uses his platform to raise funds for various animal care and conservation programs. In fact, a portion of merchandise sales are donated to organizations that promote awareness and education regarding the importance of wildlife preservation.

The stars of Legends in Concert, Las Vegas’ longest-running live tribute show, will be shining bright this fall as a brand new cast illuminates the stage at Flamingo Las Vegas. The stellar new lineup will include the exciting debut of a tribute to Taylor Swift and the long-awaited return of Frank Sinatra, just in time for his 100th birthday, along with top Madonna and Elvis Presley tribute artists.

T-Swift fans can “Shake it Off” as Legends in Concert welcomes its first ever Taylor Swift tribute artist, Elizabeth Scarborough. Scarborough will bring her uncanny vocals and resemblance as international pop-superstar Taylor Swift to the Flamingo beginning, Monday, Sept. 14. The Riviera joins a small group of restored signs in the Neon Boneyard that are able to be illuminated. The sign is located just above the iconic Stardust sign. Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO) generously updated the sign by donating a new electrical system and bulbs.

The Riviera opened on the northern part of the Strip in 1955 during a precarious time; this was when there was doubt the Las Vegas casino boom would last due to casinos opening in quick succession. The "Riv" was the first high-rise hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard. Its elegant design set it apart from many of the other resorts that often resembled the motor courts that were popular with travelers. The resort was a successful entertainment spot. Liberace played on opening night and headlined for many years. Dean Martin performed and even owned a stake in the business. The Riviera also played host to a variety of billiards tournaments including the American Poolplayers Association held every year at the resort for more than 20 years, including the week before the Riviera closed in May 2015.
