The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® Las Vegas is helping create awareness in the fight against pancreatic cancer, the nation’s fourth leading cause of cancer deaths, by participating in Purple for a Purpose on November 21 at the world famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, as well as on “Giving Tuesday” on December 2, 2014.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® Las Vegas will provide a beverage for #PurpleForAPurpose during the lighting ceremony at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014.

The sign will be lit in purple lights to honor those who have lost their battle with pancreatic cancer, those who are currently affected by the disease and those who will be diagnosed in the future. The public is encouraged to attend and also enjoy a complimentary Hot Chocolate from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Truck.

Wyclef Jean Jumps On Stage And Jams With Santana

Wyclef Jean surprised everyone when he joined House of Blues Las Vegas headliner Carlos Santana on stage during his show. “In the spirit of always being authentic,” Carlos ripped up the set list and Wyclef performed two songs with the guitar legend including hit “Maria, Maria." Santana performs his final Vegas 2014 show tomorrow night (Nov. 18) at House of Blues Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, and returns in 2015 for another series of shows beginning Jan. 21.

Benefit For Opportunity Village Coming Up At Vasari At Tivoli Village!

Vasari, the luxury apparel boutique at Tivoli Village is hosting an Opportunity Village fundraising night on Thursday, Nov. 20. For the second year, Distill, Elixir and Remedy’s are calling upon Vegas locals to give the gift of smiles and cheer this holiday season by donating toys at any of their five locations.  Toys collected will benefit the numerous kids sponsored by the Casa Foundation, whose mission is to help young kids who have been abused and neglected and now are in the foster care system in Clark County. In addition to collecting toys for the next three weeks, Remedy’s at St. Rose and Distill in Summerlin will host fundraising parties on Saturday, Dec. 6, allowing locals to come together to celebrate with a “backyard barbeque” where burgers, hotdogs and other items will be available with all proceeds going directly to the foundation. 

In 2013, Distill, Elixir and Remedy’s chose the Casa Foundation as a beneficiary for charitable efforts based on their belief in helping the kids and the future of Clark County.  Last year the group received thousands of dollars’ worth of toys to provide the Casa Foundation.  All toys donated will be given away at the organization’s Angel Tree Winter Celebration on Dec. 12.  All toys must be new and unwrapped.  Toy donations can be made at the following locations:
