Join The Drai's Country Club! Tonight!

Yacht Club at Drai’s sailed onto the Las Vegas club scene this past summer, and the late night swim party was an instant (and splashing) success at the new 35,000 square foot Drai’s Beach Club. Today, the days are turning shorter and the night’s cooler, and the Drai’s team is set to tee off a new Tuesday night tradition, Country Club. Premiering at Drai’s famed After Hours nightclub located underground at The Cromwell, Country Club takes the Tuesday night party and moves it below deck beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Country Club will make its Las Vegas debut inviting guests to swap their summer bikini’s and board shorts for their best country club chic gear, plaid shorts and pleated skirts.  Since creating the after-hours concept in Las Vegas more than 15 years ago, the famed below ground venue will now welcome guests to Las Vegas’ most exclusive club, which will open its doors at 10:00 p.m. (only on Tuesday nights).

In the tradition of the greatest golf movie ever made, Caddy Shack, Country Club at Drai’s will no doubt become an instant classic – filled with incomparable characters, stylish garb and of course, Drai’s version of the ultimate golf/country club inspired party.

“We are channeling “Bushwood” and putting our own Drai’s twist on it,” said Managing Partner Ryan Craig. “We are looking forward to bringing the Tuesday night party downstairs and throwing a campy and sexy party that is sure to make Ty Webb and Al Czervik proud.”

Drai’s Country Club:
• Tuesday Nights – Goes below deck beginning Oct. 21
• Time: 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.
• Cover Charge: $30 for men; $20 for ladies (all industry locals get free entry before midnight)

What To Give The Pet Lover For The Holidays? A Commissioned Portrait!

With the holiday season fast approaching, the question may already be lingering: What to give the obsessed animal lover who seems to have it all? The Knuttel Gallery, located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian|Palazzo, has the perfect solution to deck the halls in grandiose style: a commissioned painting of their pet by Ireland’s most prolific artist, Graham Knuttel. If money is no object when it comes to the pet lover in one’s life, memorialize the precious pup, cuddly cat or even loveable lizard in a lap of true luxury. Knuttel is known for capturing the spirit of the most discerning cats, dogs, horses, birds and even sheep, in his sculptures and paintings and now fans can commemorate their pet by the master artist.

Private sittings begin at $25,000. Generous gift givers can also customize packages with wardrobe styling, a hair and accessories artist, a playroom equipped with choice of toys, on-site catering specialized to meet the dietary needs of the pampered pooch or coddled kitten and more. To schedule a private sitting or for more information, please contact The Knuttel Gallery at 702-228-8808.

ABOUT GRAHAM KNUTTEL AND THE KNUTTEL GALLERY
Often referred to as the “Irish Picasso,” Graham Knuttel gives us disgruntled chefs, second-rate mobsters, melancholic worldly women, frisky felines and sailors who smell of rum, but smell more of the sea. The humor is deep, dark and rueful. His work takes account of humanity, wherever it is located, in all its durability and has attracted an eclectic group  of collectors including Sylvester Stallone, Colin Farrell and Bono, to name a few.

The Knuttel Gallery, located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian|Palazzo Las Vegas, exclusively exhibits the work of Graham Knuttel – including all of his new paintings, sculptures, tapestries, limited editions and items from his Tipperary Collection. High Def Streaming Highlights From Life Is Beautiful Music Festival Will Be Available!

World Education University (WEU) is pleased to present the first-ever high-definition streaming event featuring select highlights from Life is Beautiful, a music, food, art and learning festival that takes place in Downtown Las Vegas October 24, 25 and 26, 2014. Designed as a fully interactive social experience, the premium HD streaming event will last several hours on each day of the festival showcasing concerts, culinary demonstrations, art exhibitions and learning events on four vertical HD channels.

Purposed as a fundraiser to support education and youth empowerment initiatives, the premium streaming event will be available to the public on a donation-per-view basis benefitting World Trust Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit tasked with empowering young people with mentoring and educational opportunity since 1994. In cooperation with iRock2Live PSA Music Series Pledge Drives for Education, e-tickets to the Life is Beautiful streaming event will also be available at participating schools throughout the U.S. to support school fundraising efforts.

In addition to showcasing highlights from the Life is Beautiful Festival, the streaming event aims to inspire audiences using the galvanizing power of music and arts combined with public service announcements (PSAs) and fully interactive social media integration. Delivered by popular artists, the PSAs promote important causes such as anti-bullying, don’t text and drive, suicide prevention and healthy choices. Streaming audiences will be invited to share experiences in their social networks or express “Your Voice, Your Choice” by answering the question, “What will you do to change the world?”

Conceived as a healthy alternative to traditional candy-centric school pledge drives, the 2014 iRock2Live PSA Music Series Pledge Drive is a unique fundraising program that promotes team-building and encourages students to rally around causes that impact their world. Like traditional school pledge drives, students solicit pledge donations, but instead of selling candy or cookie dough, they sell e-tickets to the streaming events. The pledge drive takes place October 6th through 20th at schools throughout the U.S. A significant portion of proceeds will be retained by participating schools. Remaining proceeds will be sent directly to World Trust Foundation to support education and youth empowerment initiatives.

E-tickets are available for a $20 donation-per-view at WorldTrust.org. A non-premium free stream will also be available on the Life is Beautiful Website, where viewers will have the option to upgrade to the premium stream by making a donation. For more information about the Life is Beautiful concert lineup, culinary demonstrations, art exhibitions and learning events, please visit LifeisBeautiful.com. LAVO's Party Brunch Get's STARTED! Marquee Nightclub Has CELEBS!

Saturday afternoon, LAVO Party Brunch kicked off its fourth season bigger and better than ever. Between enjoying brunch and dancing the afternoon away, Grammy award-winner Cedric Gervais acted as special guest lifeguard for the “Beach to Brunch” themed affair. Gold confetti and champagne showers rained down as revelers danced on tables to the sounds of DJ Lema. LAVO Party Brunch takes place inside the restaurant every Saturday throughout the fall and winter seasons from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

That night, the entire Los Angeles Clippers team visited TAO Asian Bistro for dinner after their preseason game against the Denver Nuggets. There they enjoyed satay of Chilean sea bass, crispy orange chicken and Yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño. Shortly after the team dinner started, Glen “Big Baby” Davis took the microphone from the DJ and sang his song "Big Baby Gon’ Turn It Up" to a packed dining room.

The team then went up to the nightclub where they made a special order of LAVO’s famed Oreo Zeppole. In addition to Big Baby getting on the mic, Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin made rookie C.J. Wilcox dance in the middle of the dance floor while the team cheered him on. They also tried to embarrass teammate J.J. Redick by having his name displayed on the LED screen and having the DJ shout him out. The group of players, which also included Reggie Bullock, Jordan Farmar, Matt Barnes, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Spencer Hawes and Hedo Turkoglu, danced all night.

At Marquee Nightclub, Bruno Mars hosted his official after-concert party. Mars surprised excited partygoers by heading up to the DJ booth to sing along to his hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Bubble Butt.” Spotted in Mars’ VIP area was Matt Damon with a group of friends, as well as Jennifer Lopez, sporting a black crop top and pants ensemble with sneakers. Lopez was joined by her manager Benny Medina and the whole crew danced the night away to the sounds of DJ Mike Attack.
