Yesterday before their Friday Night Live performance at the pool at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Sugar Ray band members (Mark McGrath, Murphy Karges, DJ Homicide, Stan Franzier, Rodney Sheppard) walked past a hotel executive office on their way to sound check and spotted one of their guitars on display. Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns at Palace Station Tonight!

Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover.

The six-man Fat City Horns ensemble includes Rob Mader on tenor sax, Phil Wigfall on alto sax, Jerry Merra on baritone sax, Gil Kaupp and Danny Falcone on trumpet and Nathan Tanouye on trombone and handling arrangements. Numerous talented artists have joined this group on stage over the years including Kenny Loggins, Michael Ruff, Rocco Prestia and members of TOP, Bill Champlin of Chicago, Brandon Fields, members of Earth, Wind & Fire, Will Lee and Tom Scott, among others. The band is currently working on its first studio album and has already released two live albums.

Rapper and reality TV star, Flavor Flav dined at Nove Italiano inside Palms Casino Resort Thursday night (5.28.09). Accompanied by his girlfriend, the couple sat at in the terrace and enjoyed many Nove specialties, including federal hill calamari, caprese salad, bone-in New York strip steak, spaghetti Bolognese and strawberry carpaccio for dessert.

Flavor Flav also paid a visit into the kitchen to sign Executive Chef Geno Bernardo’s famous door and the kitchen clock. Following dinner, they headed upstairs to Playboy Club to play blackjack and then made their way to Moon Nightclub for a short while.
