Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover.
The six-man Fat City Horns ensemble includes Rob Mader on tenor sax, Phil Wigfall on alto sax, Jerry Merra on baritone sax, Gil Kaupp and Danny Falcone on trumpet and Nathan Tanouye on trombone and handling arrangements. Numerous talented artists have joined this group on stage over the years including Kenny Loggins, Michael Ruff, Rocco Prestia and members of TOP, Bill Champlin of Chicago, Brandon Fields, members of Earth, Wind & Fire, Will Lee and Tom Scott, among others. The band is currently working on its first studio album and has already released two live albums.
