Ivana Mayweather Celebrates B-Day At Sugar Factory Town Square..Finishes With King Kong Sundae!

Floyd Mayweather hosted an over-the-top celebration for his daughter Iyanna Mayweather, who celebrated her 14th birthday at Sugar Factory Town Square, Las Vegas, last night.

The world champion boxer treated his daughter like a princess with a party for her and 30 of her closest family and friends, including her grandmother. The group enjoyed shared plates and entrees, including items most popular among teenagers such as the Fried Macaroni & Cheese Pops, Buttermilk Onion Rings served with ranch dressing and Grilled Mini Cheeseburgers.

Mayweather surprised his daughter with a decadent birthday treat to top off the occasion, Sugar Factory’s famous King Kong Sundae. The legendary dessert packs a sweet punch with 24 scoops of ice cream, two cupcakes, sprinkles, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, strawberry shavings, sliced bananas, toasted walnuts and whipped cream, and then topped off with giant swirly pops.

The D Downtown Now Has A Bitcoin ATM!

After becoming the world’s first casino property to accept Bitcoin, the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel is doubling down on the virtual currency with fellow Vegas-based company Robocoin by installing the first Bitcoin ATM at a casino property.

Robocoin, which debuted the first Bitcoin ATM in October, allows the buying and selling of Bitcoin from freestanding kiosks that integrate user-friendly software, bank grade hardware and security, and 100 percent Federal compliance capabilities.

After the D began accepting Bitcoin just a block away from the Robocoin headquarters, co-owner and CEO of the D Derek Stevens and Robocoin CEO Jordan Kelley met and put a plan into motion to bring a Bitcoin ATM to downtown Las Vegas.

The ATM will allow customers to deposit cash into their Bitcoin wallets as well as exchange Bitcoin for dollars. The D accepts Bitcoin as payment at the hotel’s front desk, American Coney Island, Joe Vicari’s Andiamo Italian Steakhouse, D Grill and in the D’s gift shop.

Bitcoin cannot be used for gaming at the D. However, Robocoin has shared its industry-leading compliance measures with the Nevada Gaming Control Board. “Robocoin has emerged as Bitcoin’s leader in Anti-Money Laundering / Know Your Customer compliance,” said Kelley. “Last month, we demonstrated our capabilities in front of Congress and this month we’ll launch in the highly regulated state of Nevada. These are all signs of Bitcoin maturity and institutional acceptance.”

Stevens said, “We’re proud to be the first casino property to accept Bitcoin and we’re excited to offer our customers the convenience of a Bitcoin ATM.” He added, “the D and Robocoin are both located in the growing high-tech hub of downtown Las Vegas which made this a natural fit but we ultimately chose Robocoin because it is easy to use, extremely secure and one of the best brands in Bitcoin.” 

Kelley said, “We couldn’t be happier to install Robocoin in our hometown and the D is a perfect fit.” The installation of the ATM at the downtown hotel marks a homecoming of sorts for him and Robocoin Co-Founder John Russell who are both Las Vegas natives.

Stevens opened the D in 2012, introducing a hotel casino to match the trendy, forward-thinking style of the burgeoning downtown Las Vegas neighborhood. To create the modern vibe, the existing property located on the Fremont Street Experience received a complete overhaul incorporating chic design elements, renovated guest rooms, a collection of high-end suites and a variety of entertainment, nightlife and culinary offerings alongside the casino.

Headliner Frankie Moreno Brings New Show For His 500th Performance At The Stratosphere

In preparation for his 500th performance at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Stratosphere headliner Frankie Moreno will debut a brand new show including new band members, new songs, and new choreography and special performances by Dancing With The Stars' Lacey Schwimmer in his critically acclaimed Frankie Moreno Live at Stratosphere beginning June 12, 2014 at 8 p.m.

Moreno is known for his unique and enthusiastic style on stage.  The singer, songwriter and showman is incorporating the changes to keep the show fresh for audience members and to tap into his own artistic pursuits. 

"I want to continue keeping audiences entertained and after 500 shows at the Stratosphere Theater, this is the perfect time to mix it up a bit," said Moreno. "I think the audience is really going to like it."

Changes include new songs written by Moreno and his song-writing team, brothers Ricky and Tony Moreno. The band will also debut four new members who, along with the entire band, will take a more active role in the performance by participating in choreography.  The dance and choreography aspects of the show are being directed by professional dancer and choreographer Lacey Schwimmer, who will also dance periodically during Moreno's performances. Schwimmer, who performed for six seasons on ABC's Dancing With The Stars program also danced during Moreno's performance on the popular show in 2012.

Ready for some fun? MAMMA MIA has returned to Vegas! Playing at The New Tropicana this musical has always been a crowd pleaser. Split into the prologue, act one and intermission and then act two you will be entertained and might even sing along to ABBA favorites such as Chiquitta, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me, Know You and more. In case you are not familiar with the story the show opens on a Greek island where there is a wedding about to take place. Sophie is the bride and has been raised by her independent mother Donna. What is the catch? Well Sophie does not know who her real father is and stumbles across her mother’s diary. It must have been a summer of love because there are three possible fathers. Determined to find out who her father is, Sophie invites them all to her wedding. Of course her mother has no idea.

Also invited to the wedding are Donna’s two best friends, Rosie who is a low maintenance type of gal and her complete opposite Tanya who is botoxed to the nines and has had three rich husbands. A wacky family reunion along with the songs from ABBA how could you go wrong? Plus spoiler alert...the silver jumpsuits that Donna, Rosie and Tanya wear for their Donna & The Dynamos performance are OUTRAGEOUS! Picture a marriage between Vegas Elvis and Liberace.

In the end….well you need to see the musical to find out the end; but MAMMA MIA provides a fun wonderful night of a high energy performance that will have you satisfied with your choice of show. The vocals are amazing and the showroom has been revamped and has super comfortable seating!
