Ready
for some fun? MAMMA MIA has returned to Vegas! Playing at The New Tropicana this
musical has always been a crowd pleaser. Split into the prologue, act one and
intermission and then act two you will be entertained and might even sing along
to ABBA favorites such as Chiquitta, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me, Know You and more. In case you are not familiar with
the story the show opens on a Greek island where there is a wedding about to
take place. Sophie is the bride and has been raised by her independent mother
Donna. What is the catch? Well Sophie does not know who her real father is and
stumbles across her mother’s diary. It must have been a summer of love because
there are three possible fathers. Determined to find out who her father is,
Sophie invites them all to her wedding. Of course her mother has no idea.
Also
invited to the wedding are Donna’s two best friends, Rosie who is a low maintenance
type of gal and her complete opposite Tanya who is botoxed to the nines and has had three
rich husbands. A wacky family reunion along with the songs from ABBA how could
you go wrong? Plus spoiler alert...the silver jumpsuits that Donna, Rosie and Tanya wear for their Donna & The Dynamos performance are OUTRAGEOUS! Picture a marriage between Vegas Elvis and Liberace.
In the
end….well you need to see the musical to find out the end; but MAMMA MIA
provides a fun wonderful night of a high energy performance that will have you
satisfied with your choice of show. The vocals are amazing and the showroom has been revamped and has super comfortable seating!

MAMMA
MIA! performs in the recently transformed Tropicana Theater Sunday through
Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. There will be no
show on Fridays. Tickets range from $49 to $135 plus applicable taxes and fees
and can be purchased at Trop.LV/TLVMammaMia, by phone at 800-829-9034 or
at the Tropicana Show Tickets desk. Special hotel packages are also available
for a two- to three-night stay at the New Tropicana Las Vegas.
