"Elvis My Way" Show With Brandon Bennett Returns To The Suncoast On 4/12 & 4/13

Celebrating the “King of Rock and Roll,” Brandon Bennett returns to the Suncoast Showroom with his “Elvis My Way” show on April 12 and 13.

Bennett’s show takes the audience on a journey through Elvis's career, including “The King’s” introduction to the entertainment world in the ‘50s, the famous 1968 television appearance that marked Elvis's return to live performances, and the concert years – symbolized by the powerful vocals, high energy stage performances and the legendary jumpsuits.

Bennett has received numerous accolades for his impersonation of Elvis Presley. In 2008, he won the “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest” and later went on to win the title of the “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” at Graceland. He is the 2002 International Images of the King World Champion, making him the youngest contestant ever to place and win the competition.

As a world-renowned and much sought-after Elvis illusionist, Bennett appeared in the re-enactment of the “50th Anniversary of Elvis Return Home as a Star in 1956” at the Tupelo Festival in 2006. With his tribute show and his band, “The Heart Break Orchestra,” Bennett performs in venues throughout the country, dazzling fans with his spot-on impersonation. He has also opened for legendary performers such as Diamond Rio, Ronnie Milsap and Chuck Berry.

Currently, Bennett is starring as Elvis in the Chicago-based cast of “Million Dollar Quartet” – a musical inspired by the 1956 recording session that brought together Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas officially is now open and so is the Pool Café with a new menu highlighting seasonal favorites and healthy options. The intimate poolside escape will launch a new menu with hearty offerings to start the day, superfood-focused lunch dishes, fresh and flavorful salads, refreshing libations as well as favorites from previous years.

Whether in the mood for mouth-watering, refreshing or even a stress relief, the Pool Café will have an option for every guest. The new menu items include:

·         Vegetable Tempura with organic golden flax seeds, asparagus, carrots, cauliflower, zucchini and sweet potato served with French curry and Vadouvan aioli

·         Shrimp and Hokkaido Scallops Ceviche marinated in tangerine, avocado, red onion, pomegranate, cilantro & paprika

The Pool Café is located on the 8th floor along the pool deck and open to the public 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. In addition to the Pool Café, the pool deck features two long pools, two Jacuzzis, one plunge pool, and comfortable cabanas with a complimentary mini bar stocked with non-alcoholic refreshments, fresh fruit, sun care amenities, plush robes, Oshibori Towels, a 42” flat panel television and a PlayStation 3. The Spring Crush, priced at $12, is made with muddled cucumber, lemon juice, Belvedere vodka, St. Germain and sweet and sour. Guests may enjoy the refreshing cocktail while dining in the indoor-outdoor living room, complete with oversized furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lush landscaping.

Ingredients:

·         4 slices cucumber

·         1-ounce lemon juice

·         2-ounces Belvedere

·         1-ounce St. Germain

·         1/2 –ounce sweet and sour

Muddle cucumber then add lemon juice, vodka, St. Germain and sweet and sour. Shake and strain over crushed ice, garnish with cucumber slice, sip and enjoy.
