Oprah in Vegas!! In all her glory..wax! On display now at Madame Tussauds!


A newly restyled “Oprah Winfrey” was today unveiled at Madame Tussauds and inducted into the attraction’s Spirit of America room.   The induction is a nod to the great achievements that Oprah Winfrey has made during her illustrious career within the fields of television, entertainment and philanthropy - joining other iconic American figures such as John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Martin Luther King, Jr., John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe and President Barack Obama.

Oprah Winfrey is a supporter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs, and Molly Latham, Vice President of Program Services with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, was in attendance to help unveil the figure. In support, Madame Tussauds has agreed to donate $1 from each ticket sold to local Nevadans through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada organization, via a special redemption discount flyer or mention of the promotion at the box office, from May 23rd - June 1st.

“We are honoring Oprah for her show’s 25 years of success and the extensive charitable contributions she’s made over the years,” said Madame Tussauds General Manager, Rosita Chapman. “She is a role model to all and an extraordinary inspiration.”

Following the unveiling on Tuesday, Madame Tussauds invited attraction guests to view Oprah’s final show, live from the Spirit of America room on Wednesday, May 25th.

Over 100 world-famous figures are featured at the attraction at one time, in various themed areas.  Among its recent debut figures in Las Vegas were Gwen Stefani and Eva Longoria.

Three refreshing cocktails available at Tabu! One of Vegas's finest intimate clubs!



Beat the Sin City Heat with Tabu Ultra Lounge’s Three Refreshing Summer Cocktails!

The sun is high, and the desert is hot. If you’re looking for a sexy place to cool down during Sin City’s steamiest nights, look no further than Tabú Ultra Lounge at MGM Grand.

Between May 27 and Sept. 5, beat the heat by stepping into the Vegas hot spot to enjoy one of Tabú’s three delicious summer sips. From sweet to refreshing, these cool cocktails are sure to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Just try not to break a sweat when being served by one of Tabú’s hot model servers.

Cucumber Cooler ($12): Cool down with this cocktail that is just as refreshing as the name implies. For this delectable drink, you will need 2 ounces Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1 ounce fresh lemon juice, 1 ounce simple syrup, four slices cucumber and a splash of club soda. Muddle cucumber with lemon juice and simple syrup; add Bombay Sapphire Gin, shake and strain into a highball glass with fresh ice and top with club soda. Garnish with cucumber slices for a drink that will cool you down just as your night is heating up.

 Acai Berry Bliss ($12): Nothing says summer like fresh berries. Take advantage of their antioxidant power by sipping on this tasty temptation made with 2 ounces Veev Acai Liqueur, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 1 ounce simple syrup, three to four blueberries and four to six mint leaves. Place blueberries, mint, lime juice and simple syrup in mixing glass and muddle to extract juices. Add ice and Veev. Shake and pour (do not strain) into rocks glass - welcome to berry bliss.

Berry Nice ($12): Why choose between naughty and nice when you can have both? Whether your Tabú night has you flirting with the model servers or fist pumping on the table tops, add some sweetness to your party with Berry Nice. Muddle two blackberries and two raspberries. Combine 2 ounces of Chambord Vodka, ½ ounce lemon juice, ½ ounce lime juice, ½ ounce simple syrup. Shake with ice, and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with raspberries.

Music superstar Nicki Minaj was seen satisfying her sweet tooth at Sugar Factory American Brasserie (www.SugarFactory.com) at Paris Las Vegas last night. The bombshell entertainer indulged in a watermelon Couture Pop and delicious pink red velvet cupcake while browsing the sweet shop's expansive selection, and was treated to an over-the-top gift basket brimming with sweet treats all in Minaj's signature color, pink.

Legendary musician and smooth-rhyming ladies' man, LL Cool J, also stopped in Sugar Factory at Paris Las Vegas last night before his performance at Gallery Nightclub. The musician and actor dined on beef sliders, sipped on Cabernet Sauvignon and treated himself to a mouthwatering chocolate brownie and red velvet cupcake.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is an American take on a traditional French brasserie, serving delicious cuisine all day, and all night, along with an oversized retail store and signature Chocolate Lounge. Other Sugar Factory retail stores are located at The Mirage and Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood

At the Palms Sunday night, following their sold out how at the Pearl, System of a Down’s John Dolmayan and Daron Malakian headed over to see Franky Perez perform inside the hotels intimate venue The Lounge. Also in the audience at Franky’s show, Randy Couture and Vinnie Paul.

Over at Crown Nightclub at the Rio Saturday night, Snoop Dogg stopped by for a night out and was seen taking photos with fans (photos of Snoop attached; Courtesy of J. Ludwig). He was in town for the Billboard awards. Earlier in the weekend, the artist known as Baby Bash hit the Crown stage for a performance.

Bob Harper, fitness guru and star of NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser”, attended Phantom—The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino on Friday, May 20. Following the performance, Bob went backstage to meet “The Phantom” himself, Anthony Crivello, and congratulate him on a great performance.

Before attending the Billboard Music Awards, Cee Lo arrived with entourage en tow to REHAB where he greeted fans before performing “Bright Lights, Bigger City,” “I Like It” and his chart smashing “Forget You.” 

Also at REHAB, cast members David Lyons, Keith David, Martin Klebba and Tyler Tuione of NBC’s “The Cape” enjoyed the festivities and had a chance to hang out with Cee-Lo and professional boxer and current IBF welterweight champion Zab Judah

After the excitement of his piano flying performance at the Billboard Music Awards, Cee Lo returned to Hard Rock to host Vanity where he spent time with fans as well as surprised the packed house with yet another impromptu show.

Famed Musical Conductor visits "Piano!"



Bo Ayars, musical conductor and arranger for Liberace, attended Piano! Las Vegas starring Ryan Ahern at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on May 18, 2011. Ayars visit came shortly after Liberace’s Birthday (May 16), which was celebrated by Piano! Las Vegas with the addition of “I’ll Be Seeing You,” one of Liberace’s most popular songs, to the set list. Afterwards, Ayars toured “The Cube,” Ahern’s private rehearsal studio.

Iyaz, whose smash hit "Replay" peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, performed at Revel Saturday's at the REHAB Pool. On hand to catch the performance was Pirates of the
Caribbean actor Martin Klebba.

Later that night, Iyaz hit the red carpet and put on another hit performance to a jam-packed club at Vanity.
