See a Play...have some fun! Santaland Diaries at The Onyx Theater!

SANTALAND DIARIES - The Onyx Theater
Today at 8:00pm - Sunday at 6:00pm
953 E. Sahara #16 Commercial Center

“The Santaland Diaries” comes to Las Vegas for 4 performances only, December 9 -11 at 8 PM and Dec. 12 at 5PM at the Onyx Theatre (953 E. Sahara, inside Commercial Center. All seats are $15 and may be purchased by calling 702-732-7225 or online at onyxtheatre.com

You’ve seen him as Joan Crawford in “Mommie Queerest”, Mrs. Garrett in “The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode,” and Hannibal Lichter in “The Silence of the Clams.”

...Now, Jamie Morris tackles his most bitter role - an unemployed slacker who finds temporary holiday work as an elf at Macy’s Santaland - in David Sedaris’ hit one-man comedy “The Santaland Diaries” which comes to town December 9-12 at the Onyx Theatre.

Adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello and directed by City Life Magazine’s “Best of the Valley” Best Local Theater Director Christopher Kenney, “The Santaland Diaries” is David Sedaris’ hilarious send-up of his brief, misguided career as a Macy’s elf. The show skewers our sentimental love of all things Christmas – the happy children, the spritely elves, the gifts, the good cheer. Sedaris’ character, Crumpet the Elf, shows us the other side of what it’s like to work at Santaland, and the result is bawdy and irreverent.

Some Pics from Holly Madison's B-Day Party! December B-Days ROCK!

Holly Madison and friends toast with Hpnotiq at LAVO.

Jack Barakt & Holly Madison at TAO

Last Thursday Holly Madison, star of Peepshow and the hit reality series Holly’s World, held an early birthday celebration at TAO and LAVO. The stage and screen star turns 31 on December 23 and decided to celebrate a few weeks in advance.

She started the party with an early dinner in the private dining room at LAVO. Friends including Bridget Marquardt, Laura Croft, Angel Porrino, Josh Strickland and new beau Jack Barakat toasted the birthday girl with Hpnotiq Bubbles and Blue cocktails and then dined on signature dishes from the kitchen. Of course Holly’s favorite Kobe Meatball was on the menu. A candle atop LAVO’s Oreo Zeppole dessert served as a precursor for more sweet moments later in the night.

After dinner Holly raced over to perform in Peepshow before heading back to continue the party at TAO. More friends, including Playmate Jayde Nicole joined for the late night celebration. The group made their way to a sky box overlooking the club, and upon Holly’s arrival event partner Hpnotiq sent the guest of honor a magnum bottle of the liqueur via TAO’s bottle fairy, who flew over the dance floor.

Holly got on the mic, shouting out to the crowd, “What’s up Las Vegas?” She then thanked TAO, Hpnotiq and all of the club goers for the celebration.

Holly was surprised with a three tiered Rapunzel cake from Gimme Some Sugar, which arrived to the sky box accompanied by the Holly’s World TV series theme song. The surprises continued as Hpnotiq presented a $1000 check in her name for the Lied Animal Shelter, one of Holly’s favorite causes. A birthday isn’t complete without presents and TAO continued the gift giving, presenting Holly with a diamond studded heart shaped necklace from Simon G jewelers. The group danced the night away and Holly and Jack were spotted holding hands and stealing the occasional kiss. They partied at TAO until after 2 am when they headed up to their suite in The Venetian for some late night snacking from room service.

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was spotted in the next sky box over with friends.

MORE TOYS for the Toy Drive! Tryst/XS send over $106,297 in toys!

XS/TRYST Nightclubs have another record-breaking donation to Annual KLUC (98.5) Toy Drive

It was another historic day for XS/Tryst nightclubs located inside Wynn/Encore Las Vegas on Wednesday as the staff
purchased and delivered a stunning $106,297 in toys and gifts to the annual KLUC (98.5 FM) charity toy drive.

Last year, the XS/Tryst team delivered a whopping $68,429 in toys, clothes, bikes and other assorted gifts to the KLUC event, held at Nevada Power.

This year's donation marked the third consecutive holiday season the Tryst/XS team eclipsed the record for single-largest donation in the toy drive's history. In 2008, the group racked up more than $32,000 in donations for the same event.

The nightclubs' ownership, management and personnel took to the aisles at a Las Vegas-based Walmart, located at
4505 West Charleston Blvd., on Wednesday and spent almost three hours clearing out the shelves in the toy section en route to its record haul.

More than 20 extra Walmart staff members were called in specifically to work the massive shopping spree, according to store manager Mike Lofton. Walmart also dedicated 10 check-out registers to the XS/Tryst staff, Lofton said.

After some serious shopping, which filled up two, 50-foot semi-trucks and resulted in a store receipt that measured more than 100 feet in length, the group of close to 60 staff members' cars and motorcycles was led by two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department cruisers and a Clark County Fire Department truck to the Nevada Power building, the site of the annual KLUC toy drive which benefits HELP for Southern Nevada - a not-for-profit organization assisting children and families of Southern Nevada.

Prior to the arrival of the nightclubs' staffs, the students of "Future Dance" - a successful program part of Nevada Ballet Theater's Education and Outreach division which gives at-risk children an opportunity to follow their dreams in the fine arts, delivered a special performance at
11:15 am. at the site of the toy drive.

The XS/Tryst staff has taken a big role in these at-risk kids' lives as well this holiday season by graciously sponsoring 100 students in NBC's Education and Outreach program and sending them to a performance of "The Nutcracker" at Paris Las Vegas, thus providing a great opportunity for children who can not afford to attend on their own.

Criss Angel Gives Back..Donates to KLUC toy Drive!
