Enjoy Some Art With Your Cigars & Whiskey At Eight Lounge

 Eight Lounge, the lush cigar and cocktail lounge at Resorts World Las Vegas, has more than cigars and whiskey to offer patrons of the arts, as they host the debut solo showcase of local self-taught artist David Leiserowitz and his recent foray into cubism and absurdism. Beginning Thursday, Feb. 29, the showcase will be open every night during regular lounge hours until its closing on Sunday, March 3. The debut solo exhibition of local Las Vegas artist David Leiserowitz, entitled “From Nothing to Something,” highlights and showcases Leiserowitz's development as an artist as he progresses through a broad variety of styles and techniques. Prominently focusing on a contemporary blend between realism and cubism, the collection explores the abstract with the deconstruction of familiar objects, characters and figures to invite the viewer to experience and contemplate the relationship between familiarity and novelty. The exhibition opens with a private showing running from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, before becoming open to the public until its closing at 3 a.m. on Monday, March 4.

 

Experiencing and contemplating art pairs excellently with other offerings from Eight, like its carefully curated whiskey collection and cigars. Guests can broaden their horizons while sipping on the Rising Sun Sour made with Dewars aged in a Mizanura cask, lemon juice, simple syrup, peach Monin, fresh strawberries and egg white, priced at $18; or while smoking a Padron 50th anniversary cigar, filled with ten-year aged tobacco to deliver a flavor, that much like Leiserowitz’s work is rich, complex, deep and balanced.

 

Eight’s architecturally stunning space offers a 7,000-square-foot lounge, two private rooms and a spacious 2,200-square-foot outdoor terrace with views of the Las Vegas Strip. Located in The District of Resorts World Las Vegas, Eight Lounge is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to close and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to close.
