This Earth Day, Meow Wolf’s mind-bending, interactive art exhibition, Omega Mart, welcomes artist Daniel “Attaboy” Seifert to host an art installation and art-making event in celebration of Earth Day.
The Upcycled Garden installation, planted and tended by Seifert, arrives at AREA15 Saturday, April 22. The ever-growing, touring exhibit features beautiful, organic “plants” that, under closer inspection, are composed as a visual diary of consumption, including refuse and discarded items, from light bulb and covid test to pizza and other delivery boxes that are used to create them.
From 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Meow Wolf will play host to this lush garden landscape and their first making event of the year at “The Wall,” AREA15's new event space. The soothing, open-ended play of constructing the colorful landscape will include the opportunity to view the exhibit AND contribute to a new sculpture as well as creating their own “take home” piece of art. This fun, all-ages event is free and open to the public.
After Saturday’s event, the show will be on exhibit at Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Sahara West Library through the summer.
