Legendary disco and funk band KC & The Sunshine Band will return to Las Vegas Saturday, September 15, 2018, alongside special guests the Village People, to help celebrate the Grand Re-opening of the newly-modernized Palace Station. Tickets are $40 plus tax and applicable fees and go on sale Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10 a.m.
He has been called the “Founder of the Dance Revolution.” He is Harry Wayne Casey, better known as the founder and leader of KC & The Sunshine Band. Things have changed drastically since 1973. One thing hasn't changed, though. The infectious, feel good happy music of KC and the Sunshine Band. Their first record, Blow Your Whistle, made the top-15 on the R&B chart, with their sophomore album, KC & The Sunshine Band achieving triple platinum and containing the hits “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” “Boogie Shoes” and “Rock Your Baby.” Their success continued with the album Part 3, which was release in 1976, went triple platinum and contained the number one hits “I’m Your Boogie Man,” “Shake Your Booty” and “Keep It Comin’ Love.” KC’s music is now being sampled by rappers, and whole new generations of fans have been introduced to his music. KC & the Sunshine Band have been entertaining audiences around the world for more than 37 years and have sold in excess of 100 million records and “That's The Way They Like It” uh-huh uh-huh!
Village People is one of the most iconic music groups in the world. Their music has become part of the international songbook and has been featured in dozens of major motion pictures, on Broadway, in commercials and in “Village People Party” slot machines. Of course, “Y.M.C.A” (along with its dance) is played at almost every party, wedding, bar mitzvah and sporting event in the universe. The debut album, released in 1977, featured hit singles “San Francisco (You’ve Got Me),” “In Hollywood (Everyone’s a Star),” “Fire Island” and “Village People.” The group became an international phenomenon with their second album Macho Man and quickly followed with the five-time platinum Cruisin, which featured the blockbuster hit “Y.M.C.A.” Over the years, various renditions of the group have consistently toured the world along with original members Felipe Rose and Alex Briley, including Raymond Simpson (cop), Jeff Olson (cowboy), Mark Lee (Construction Worker), Bill Whitefield (Construction Worker), Eric Anzalone (Biker), and James Newman (Cowboy). The group has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and continues to break records.
Tickets to KC & The Sunshine Band and Village People are $40 plus tax and applicable fees. Doors open at 7 p.m. and guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
